MOORE’S WEALTH MANAGEMENT “Protecting Your Future”
Moore’s Wealth Management adds 4th Fiduciary Advisor to their Practice A Publication of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce
Planning for a healthy and prosperous retirement that might last 20, 25 or even 30 years into the future can be a daunting task. Living in Gainesville Hall County allows us access to exceptional healthcare, and the growth in this industry continues to provide our society with the best services available. The Greater Hall Chamber's VISION 2030 program identified healthcare as a significant issue in planning for the future of Gainesville-Hall County. As a result, the Chamber formed a Healthcare Committee in 2007 with representatives from Northeast Georgia Health System, area physician groups and health-related organizations, such as the Good News Clinic. The committee oversees a set of community-wide programs and events and meets monthly to discuss access to healthcare, wellness programs and benefits, healthcare services, legislative issues, health insurance and other important health topic. The impact and importance of this committee's work was evident at the recent Healthcare Reform Seminar with over 300 business representatives attending to learn about critical issues and updates on healthcare reform.
Now in its 7th year, the Annual HealthSmart Wellness Expo will be held this month (October 9) and features some 70 booth exhibits providing interactive wellness services. The event, free and open to the public, focuses on community health and wellness and continues to be one of VISION 2030’s most successful initiatives. Dozens of services are provided at the Expo including FREE health screenings. A breakfast kicks off the event and features awards to “Most Fit Company” in Gainesville-Hall County and a presentation by the Medical Association of Georgia Foundation's Think About It campaign, a state-wide initiative to address the prescription drug abuse epidemic. We are fortunate to have premier health and wellness services in our community with growing physician groups, medical education opportunities at Brenau University, Lanier Technical College and the University of North Georgia. Gainesville-Hall County serves a large population with Northeast Georgia Health System's new hospital under construction in South Hall and the Northeast Georgia Medical Center rated one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals (Healthgrades®) and among only 20 large community hospitals named to Truven Healthcare’s list of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals. We are so fortunate to have outstanding leadership in Gainesville-Hall County. Leadership that provides us first-class healthcare, services and facilities making our community a standout in the health and wellness industry and creating an unparalleled quality of life.

Moore’s Wealth Management adds 4t Planning for a healthy and prosperous retirement that might last 20, 25 or even 30 years into the future can be a daunting task. You want to make your financial resources last for the rest of your life -- no matter how long you live -- and you don’t want to be wiped out by down markets, poor tax planning, or long-term care expenses. That being said, it makes sense to seek guidance from trained professionals for these most important financial decisions. Brokers, Registered Representatives, Insurance Agents and Registered Investment Advisors all claim to have the best advice and commitment to serve their clients. However, did you realize only Registered Investment Advisors and Investment Advisor Representatives are legally and ethically held to the highest “Fiduciary” standards by the SEC to care for their clients? A Fiduciary Advisor is required to put their client’s
interests above their own and declare any conflicts of interest that may arise. The “suitability standard” which Brokers, Registered Representatives and Insurance Agents are held to means that the broker must reasonably believe that their recommendation is suitable given the client’s circumstances, needs and objectives. In this case, the broker is not referred to as a fiduciary and does not need to put their client’s Moore’s Wealth Management Staff includ interests before their own center, their sons Chris, Brian & Kyle, daug or the interests of their financial institution. Broker-dealers presently have no fiduciary duty. The suitability standard required of a traditional broker does not require a broker to always act in the best interests of their client. In fact, since the brokers do not have to adhere to the Fiduciary Standard, and are relegated to selling commission based broker/dealer products, they cannot comply with the Fiduciary Standard. At Moore’s Wealth Management “We help our clients protect their financial future through a Fiduciary Standard of Care that puts their interests First.” The Firm has been built on this

The Power To Perform
Junior Achievement Job Shadow
Add an Important Item to Your Back-to-School List.
The Imperial Salon (a new Chamber member) participated in the Junior Achievement Job Shadow program with students from Lanier Charter Career Academy. (L-R): Lee Highsmith, Junior Achievement; Vanessa Guevara, LCCA cosmetology student; Pam Rider and Kent Tench, The Imperial Salon; Dana Miller, Chamber. (Seated): Client Kaye Bryan.
Students from Lanier Charter Career Academy (LCCA) ventured across Hall County to spend a morning learning about the real world of work in the field of cosmetology. Under the direction of Stacy King of Junior Achievement (JA), 11 salons participated in the job shadowing tour by hosting juniors and seniors from LCCA’s cosmetology class. The students were able to observe and learn about various techniques in cuts, sets, styling and foiling. They also helped run the reception desk, inventory supplies and other office duties. JA Job Shadow program prepares students to be entrepreneurial thinkers in their approach to work. Students acquire and apply the skills needed in the demanding and ever-changing workplace. The program helps students understand the importance of researching the requirements needed to earn a position while developing job-hunting tools, such as networking, resumes, and interviewing skills. georgia.ja.org
