The President’s View: A Cresswind Renewal

Welcome back to the Cresswind we all knew and loved. After many months of sequestering, sheltering in place, absence of all of the many relationships we all cherished and missed, Cresswind is returning to the normalcy we have all been seeking with a vengeance.

We, Cresswind Strong, have weathered the worst of times in recent memory to renew again our friendships, activities, travels, and the long-awaited events we have enjoyed.

As we emerge from the shadows, albeit with some cautions and many vaccinations, we are returning to the Clubhouse, outdoor and indoor amenities, card games, and our missed family get togethers. The tenor around Cresswind has taken on a more vibrant spirit – a much missed air of enthusiasm and community engagement and gatherings.

What we may have taken for granted as a sought-after active retirement lifestyle in our Community on hold too long has re-emerged for all to enjoy and celebrate. Whether walking and chatting with friends, participating in Community or area activities or just enjoying the new found freedoms and our collective retirement years, it is so wonderful to return to what we all truly cherish.

It is my belief that we have endured individual and community hardships as well as or better that most communities I have been in touch with over the past 15 months. Many still have not returned to the level of activity and engagement we are currently experiencing. I hope we do not forget that we may continue to face difficult periods in our lives going forward and whether they be as broad based as the recent pandemic or more localized such as personal illnesses or hardships, our Community has the stamina and means to side by side support each other throughout those trying and difficult times. We have shown that by our deeds and actions.

May all be blessed with good health and many happy retirement years to look forward toward, be there for each other, and help to make Cresswind the Best It Can Be. Let us continue to celebrate the remainder of 2021 with engagement and enthusiasm.

Regards, Dan Gershkowitz
