The Gainesville-Hall County Alliance for Literacy BUILDING AN EDUCATED WORKFORCE IN HALL COUNTY The Gainesville/Hall County Alliance for Literacy was formed in 1989 and serves as the umbrella agency for all literacy concerns in our community.

Building an Educated Workforce

The Alliance partners with Lanier Technical College’s 2017 Impact Report: The Gainesville/Hall County Allian Adult Education Center to garner community support. The Alliance provides funds for instruction, materials/curriculum, and GED and continuing education scholarships.

Avita Community Partners provides behavioral health, developmental disability, and addiction services to individuals and their families.

Amped Kids Foundation's mission is to positively impact the lives of foster children in Georgia through free music programs. One year program includes instrument, thirty minute lessons every two weeks and all Instruction material. BAND SCHOLARSHIPS Helping foster kids be involved in their school band program! Our Amped scholarship provides a middle or high school student with a band instrument and pays all associated fees and band camp.

My Sister's Place is a shelter for homeless women and children. We have provided a home for the homeless since 2000. In 2017, we opened My Sister's Resale Boutique to provide resources for those in need and also support for our shelter.
