Harbour Point is becoming a busy place in 2021. We’ve got a lot of activity to make up for after basically missing 2020! Social events are being planned once again with lots of excitement in store for the neighborhood. Be on the lookout for parties, food trucks and more this summer! Renovations are planned for common area landscaping starting with the front of the clubhouse expected for Spring 2021. Plans are being planned for portions of the front entrance landscaping in 2021 as well. The clubhouse renovation plan is underway, and the first phase has been approved at the March board meeting. Selections for new carpet and paint can be seen by the fireplace in the clubhouse if you’re interested in what’s coming later this Spring. In pool news we are currently looking for 2021 Pool Monitors. If you are interested in applying please visit the online application at HarbourPointLakeLanier.com > Submit HPCA Request > Submit Pool Monitor Job Application. The pool furniture has been placed poolside, but Pool Monitors do not begin duty until mid May. Please take extra care to be certain that you lower any unused umbrellas when you leave to protect them from high winds. Also be aware of any food debris you might drop and clean up before you leave. Ants are always a problem for us! Planning is underway for front entrance upgrades that include new gates and access technology which will work in conjunction with the addition of a second lane to prevent tailgaters being able to follow in authorized residents and providing better safety for Harbour Point. The developer is finishing paving work which will put the final top coat on Water Front Drive, Harbour Landing Drive and Lake Ridge Drive in early April. These are the last remaining incomplete streets in the neighborhood. Street light replacements are progressing through the neighborhood. Many areas are complete with new LEDs already. Final plans for any additional street lights will be circulated through the community before new light poles get installed so nearby residents can have input to that process. Be on the lookout for future eblasts regarding street lights.
