FROM THE BOARD
2020: A Year to Leave Behind
I am quite confident that many of you echo the sentiment that 2020 is a year we will be glad to have in the rear-view mirror. While there were certainly numerous challenges to overcome, your Board of Directors stayed focused on supporting the neighborhood, even in these trying times. Navigating the restrictions put in place by our state and local governments during the pandemic made use of our amenities a difficult task. Your Board members took on that task. Even though there were a few unhappy residents, hopefully many of you appreciated our efforts to allow homeowners to enjoy amenities such as the tennis courts, pool and gym in a safe environment. In addition to managing through the pandemic, there were also several major projects completed this year including the following: · A major refresh to the front entrance was completed along with improvements to the entrance of the Lakeview amenity. · Tennis courts 1-8 were resurfaced. · The Millview pool was re-plastered. · Several ponds that were in violation from Gwinnett County were remedied to avoid potential fines. · Shade was added to the benches in the playground area. · A longstanding dispute was settled regarding the fences on Jim Moore and Hog Mountain roads. The fences were replaced while turning Call todayover for aall free future maintenance to those homeowners. on-site estimate! · Our reserve study was updated to provide a rolling 3-5 year reserve plan for future budgetary planning. Expires 3/31/19 · A three-year financial audit has begun and should be completed in early 2021.OF FENCING: ALL FORMS
Looking Forward to 2021 Hopefully 2021 will be a return to normalcy in many areas of our lives as well as managing Hamilton Mill’s Homeowners Association. Major projects slated for 2021 include: · Major improvements to Lake Mulberry and the Treybyrne retention pond. · Improved lighting for our tennis and other courts · Renovation of numerous entrances along Hamilton Mill Parkway. · Migration to a new platform for our HOA website. Finally, in wrapping up 2020 the Board of Directors would like to thank our homeowners for your support and words of encouragement during the year, and we look forward to continuing the work needed in 2021 to keep Hamilton Mill a premier community.
Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year!

FROM THE BOARD
New Volunteer Opportunit ies in 2021! As many of you know, it takes multiple committees and volunteers to help keep our community beautiful, safe, and fun! Our committees work closely with Property Management (Shaben and Associates) and the Board of Directors to maintain our landscaping, facilities, and tennis courts, plan social events, and keep our finances in check. These committees are as follows: Grounds and Facilities: meets on the 3rd Monday of every month at 6:30pm Tennis Committee: meets the 3rd Sunday of each month at 7:00pm Social Committee: meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:45pm Budget and Finance Committee: meets as needed throughout the year This year, we are forming a Pickleball committee and the Modifications committee is coming back! Let us know if any of these volunteer opportunities interest you!
Pickleball Committee Come one, come all! Pickleball is the newly growing activity in Hamilton Mill. Our weekly Wednesday night get-together is growing and needs committed volunteers to organize more events, propose a budget and guidelines, and get our Pickleball program off to a great start. If you are interested in helping Pickleball thrive in our community, contact Maureen at maureen@ shabenandassociates.com for more information.
Modifications Committee
After
BACK IN 2021! The Hamilton Mill Modifications committee is coming Before back for new ideas and suggestions. Our beautiful neighborhood is almost 25 years old and styles have changed. While we want to maintain our upscale classic style, new ideas may be just what we need! If you have an eye for paint colors and design and want to know more about the current design guidelines, contact Maureen at maureen@ shabenandassociates.com to join the committee.

TENNIS NEWS
Happy New Year!! We are extremely excited for 2021! We saw amazing growth in the tennis program at Hamilton Mill during 2020, especially with the Junior Summer camp, which had over 600 participants – a 300 percent increase from 2019. This enthusiasm for the junior program continued into the fall where weekly participation increased to almost 140 players and led to the formation of a new 12 & Under Girls ALTA Team for the fall season. The Adult program also saw expansion with a higher number of participants in ALTA team clinics, weekly drop-in clinics “Men’s Drills” and “Stroke of the Week”, as well as an increase in private lesson requests. Furthermore, the addition of “Pickleball Wednesdays” at the Lakeview Tennis Center has helped build excitement for Pickleball within the Hamilton Mill community. Lastly, we have added a new 2.5 USTA Weekday Ladies team for the Winter season and we are looking forward to adding a “C” Level Sunday Ladies team for Spring 2021. Hamilton Mill Tennis’ newest instructors Grovo Carmona, Chris Benzinger and Chieko Bolton have been vital to the growth of the tennis program, giving players of all ages and levels the opportunity to learn more about tennis. There is no doubt that 2020 will be a year to remember and we are looking forward to expanding the program further in 2021 with more exciting new events and clinics.

Hamilton Mill Angel Tree For the past several years Hamilton Mill has been overwhelmingly generous and supportive of Angel Tree. This year, we partnered with the P4 Foundation to help bring Christmas joy to kids with cancer. Together, we helped 11 families with their holiday wish lists. AND HAMILTON MILL, as always‌ boy, did you deliver! Thank you SO MUCH to everyone that donated wrapping supplies, shopped for gifts, purchased gift cards and helped wrap all of the presents for our P4 families! Your generosity surely helped these families and is so appreciated. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

SOCIAL
Did you know that the P4 Foundation was founded right here in Hamilton Mill? Gino Vizzi constantly places feelings and concerns of others above his own. Through the P4 Foundation Gino has found a way to help others while battling cancer himself. The P4 Foundation works directly with children and families impacted by childhood cancer to provide support, hope, and faith-filled encouragement, as well as tips for health and wellness — before, during and after treatment. Donations to the P4 Foundation go directly to the families of P4 Kids who’ve been diagnosed with childhood cancer. All donations make a difference and go toward extensive treatment costs, gas, groceries and utility bills, helping families afford fun activities, and funeral and memorial expenses.
