EXCELLENCE AT HEART
FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Dear neighbors, I am excited to be taking over the role of President of the Homeowners Association for 2020. I know that I have big shoes to fill after the great job Chris Singleton has done over the past few years. There are several key tenets that I feel make our Board successful, and the number one tenet is communication. As your President, I am going to strive to communicate as much and as transparently as I can regarding what the Board takes on, and what we are doing to improve the value of living in Hamilton Mill. We have a lot of big projects slated for 2020 including: • remediation of pond issues found by the County • improving the lighting of our tennis and basketball courts from halogen to LED lighting • creating a model that can help remove silt from the lake on a more frequent basis (hopefully dramatically reducing the time needed to dredge the entire lake) • landscape improvements at the front entrance • a five-year plan that leverages the results of our reserve study In addition to providing homeowners with updates on the above, you can look forward to activities, blogs, and access to information on various subjects that will benefit the neighborhood. I hope that by sharing my Call today for a free (and the Board’s) thoughts on various subjects, you can gain a better insight into why we make of the on-sitesome estimate! decisions we do.

We will be hosting Part 2 of the series on April 21. We will be hearing from Richard Bryson who is an Eldercare Attorney. He will be speaking about the importance of having your family’s legal affairs in order (ex. Power of Attorneys, living wills, asset protection, how to plan for long term care, and VA assistance). ATTENTION PARENTS OF
Class of 2020 Graduates This May, we will be creating a special edition of the Hometown Herald featuring the 2020 high school graduates. We plan on having a few spreads “yearbook style” in the newsletter as a keepsake for families with children graduating this year. If you would like for your child to be featured in the Hometown Herald, please email hmillevents@ gmail.com to get the link to the Google Form and fill it out by April 1. This is a hard deadline since the May newsletter materials are due that week. The Google Form will allow you to fill out all of the information for your child and upload an image for us to use in the newsletter. We would also like to try and get everyone together for a group photo in front of the Water Mill for the cover image. We know it is hard to find a date where everyone can participate, but if you are interested in getting into this photo, please notify April Williams at hmillevents@gmail.com by Friday, March 20. The photo will be taken Saturday morning, March 21, at 10am. Please stay tuned for further details and email communications about this special edition!

GRADUATION BANNER COMMITTEE UPDATE! On behalf of the Hamilton Mill Graduation Banners Subcommittee, we would like to send advanced congratulations to the Graduating Class of 2020. I'd like to thank all of you who have contacted me so far to volunteer for your neighborhood's group Graduation Banner. In order for your graduate to be included in the graduation banner for your neighborhood, we need to have a point of contact within the neighborhood that would be responsible for gathering the names of graduates, organizing individual and/or group pictures, collecting funds, ordering, placing and removing the banner at your neighbohoods' entrance. WE ARE STILL IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS/LIAISONS FOR THE FOLLOWING NEIGHBORHOODS: Ashebrooke
Lakeforest
Stonewood
Hillgrove
Laurel Ridge
Windridge

Woodlawn
If you have a graduate in any neighborhood not listed above, please contact me at congratz. grad@gmail.com for the name and contact information for your neighborhood representative. If you live in a neighborhood that you know will not have a 2020 HS Graduate, please send in an email so your neighborhood can be removed from this year’s list.
COUNTRYSIDE MONTESSORI SCHOOL “Where children love to learn, discover, and respect one another!”
Volunteers don’t necessarily have to have a 2020 graduate. You may have had a past graduate, have a future graduate, or are just willing to help out for your neighborhood. Lastly, if you were a representative last year, please make sure that you have returned your red neighborhood informational sign and the gmail password for your neighborhood email address so we can pass this information along to the next rep! If you are interested, please send an email to: congratz.grad@gmail.com with your name, neighborhood, and contact information.

PUSHPADOLOTSAV (HOLI) - BHAGATJI MAHARAJ BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
Sunday, March 15 | 3:30pm
Pushpadolotsav, also known as Fuldol, celebrates the arrival of spring. The festival is celebrated on Fagun Vad 1, the day after Holi. Traditionally a murti of Bhagwan is placed on a swing beautifully decorated with flowers. Devotees both serve and offer their sincere devotion to Bhagwan by gently setting the swing in motion, experiencing His darshan in this unique way. The changing season, new blooms, and vibrant colors of spring are celebrated by Hindus across the world. Pushpadolotsav also marks the birth of Bhagatji Maharaj, the second spiritual successor of Bhagwan Swaminarayan. www.baps.org/atlanta
