HAMILTON MILL
Graduation Banner News Many, many thanks to everyone who participated in the Graduation Banners for our graduates this past May. It was wonderful to see the coordinated efforts to bring back this yearly tradition to celebrate our Hamilton Mill High School Seniors, and we are looking forward to many more years to come.
Low Inventory Alert Homes are needed in the following areas for buyers: BUFORD, DACULA, FLOWERY BRANCH, & SUGAR HILL
As school has just reopened, we are also gearing up for a new season of 2020 Hamilton Mill Graduating Seniors! Again, we need neighborhood representatives that will be responsible for gathering names, organizing pictures, collecting funds, ordering, putting up/removing graduation banners for the graduates within your neighborhood. If you are interested in being a representative for your neighborhood, we will be having an informational meeting in the Lakeview Conference Room on Wednesday, September 25th from 6:30-7:30pm. We do have a few people that volunteered for their neighborhoods this past May and will resume their roles for next year (thank you). However, we need all the help we can get to continue to make this a very smooth and easy process moving forward. Any amount of help would be greatly appreciated.

HAMILTON MILL REAL ESTATE UPDATE
By Rob Dietrich, REALTOR
®
With many homes in Hamilton Mill now approaching the 15-20yr mark, a home warranty can be of tremendous benefit. A home warranty (different than a homeowner’s insurance) is a contract between the homeowner and the home warranty company that provides for discounted repair and replacement service on a home’s major components, such as the HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. It may also cover major appliances such as washers and dryers, refrigerators and swimming pools. Most home warranties cost a few hundred dollars a year and have a small service fee per incident. Be sure to read the fine print, and check out customers’ reviews before selecting a home warranty company. The subject of home warranties often comes up during the sale and purchase of a home, so make sure you have it included as a part of the sale. Hamilton Mill House Sales 2018/19 When looking at the median data for house sales over the last six months, it was a slower start to the year but then picked up in the recent months. Overall in Hamilton Mill, prices rose by 3.5% whilst the days on market (DOM) remained steady.
Today’s Market Currently there are 29 active listings (the majority with finished basements) in Hamilton Mill – A Hometown, ranging from 310k – 730k. The split is 6 listings at 310k – 399k, 15 listings at 400 – 499k, and 8 listings above 500k. HAMILTON MILL FOR HOPE 2019 Our annual Hamilton Mill for Hope charity event is moving to October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Last year, the 2-day event raised over $16,000 for breast cancer research, treatment and prevention at Gwinnett Medical Center, and we hope to exceed that goal in 2019! We are planning a new and fun format for the tennis event. Please save the date for the 14th Annual Buffalo’s Pink Party on Saturday, October 5th. Hamilton Mill for Hope will be at the Lakeview tennis courts on Monday, October 7th (9am – 12) and Tuesday, October 8th (9am – 2pm) with a luncheon on Tuesday at the Hamilton Mill Clubhouse. We thank you for continuing to make a difference in our community by being a part of Hamilton Mill for Hope and supporting Gwinnett Medical Center in their fight against breast cancer. Thanks and hope to see you there!
