We are extremely excited for 2023! We saw amazing growth in the tennis program at Hamilton Mill during 2022. This enthusiasm for the junior program was amazing where we saw weekly participation of over 180 players and 18 clinics per week. We also continued with the Hamilton Mill Junior Instructional League which gives players the ability to develop match play skills before entering ALTA team tennis.
The adult tennis program also had an incredible increase in participation in 2022. In May we expanded the adult drop-in clinic schedule offering clinics 4 days per week. These clinics resulted in over 1100 registrations for the year. The tennis instructors also coached over 1000 private lessons. Additionally, we continued the Hamilton Mill Summer Flex League. This gave residents the opportunity for competitive match play within the neighborhood.
The pickleball community continued to grow in 2022. Pickleball instructors Michelle Milliman and Kim Houng came in to help develop programming for the facility. With their help we offered drop-in clinics, junior clinics, weekly competitions, and private lessons for our pickleball enthusiasts. Registration for the pickleball clinics increased to over 200 for 2022.
2022 was an exciting year for the Hamilton Mill tennis and pickleball programs and we are looking forward to expanding the program further in 2023 with more exciting new events and clinics See you on the courts!
