Don’t Get BORED Any Longer!! GEORGIA
HOMES ON MY MIND
Here’s our list of ideas to help you ENJOY your time at HOME!
VIRTUAL EVERYTHING Did you know that you can pretty much take a virtual tour of everything around the world right now? We may not be able to travel physically, but we can travel through the use of our modern technology. Check out these sights to look at something NEW TODAY! * Airpano ~ provides virtual tours of a number of destinations around the world. Just type the location and experience a 360-degree view of the place you’d want to travel to! *Take a Virtual Tour of: The Georgia Aquarium ~ where you can check out the live streaming of the Beluga Whales. SO many Museums ~ did you know you can tour the Guggenheim Museum in New York or the National Gallery of Art, Washington DC all on-line? *Look at these Local Field Trip Friday Ideas: Take a Virtual Field Trip to some of Atlanta’s most iconic tourist destinations: Every Friday you can visit a top Atlanta attraction for free! • Fernbank Museum • Atlanta Botanical Garden • Georgia Aquarium • Chick-Fil-A College Football Hall of Fame • Children’s Museum of Atlanta • Breman Museum • Zoo Atlanta • High Museum of Art • National Center for Civil and Human Rights • Michael C. Carlos Museum SET UP DAILY GOALS We know this may not sound like fun, but it will break up the boredom and leave you with a feeling of accomplishment each day. Make a to-do list of all those things you’ve been wanting to get done. It can be work related, home related or even personally related. NOW is the time to get stuff done. • Clean out the junk draw • Contact a long lost friend • Organize that Linen closet • Yard work - plant flowers • Catch up on your to-do list at work • Catch up on vacation scrap-books • Make an on-line photo book to preserve your pictures • Check on your neighbors, offer help, do a good deed!
Put it on a list and cross off at least one item, daily! We guarantee this will make you feel GOOD! GET MOVING!! Keep those endorphins and your blood flowing by moving! Did you know there are SO MANY FREE on-line workout apps your can access? You can also go for a walk, go hiking, walk the dog or find new games to play with the kids. Keeping the kids physical, will definitely keep you moving. How about driveway chalk art, pickleball, ping pong, jump rope, or hopscotch? Some days, laying around on the couch and binge watching Netflix IS a MUST, but don’t forget to schedule some ACTIVE days too - to keep the boredom out! KEEP ON CELEBRATING Birthdays, Anniversaries and Holidays are still happening! We know we cannot celebrate in those traditional ways, but finding a way to CELEBRATE is still a MUST. Don’t put it off until AFTER?! Plan a night out, at home! Get dressed up. Start a new family tradition. Make a Birthday sign and drive by and surprise your families and friends. Stay connected on-line to send birthday and well wishes. Kids birthdays without their friends can be sad - but plan something NEW. Make a new birthday cake, organize a home scavenger hunt. Make a cardboard fort or plan a spa night for teenage girls. Now is the time to get CREATIVE and MAKE LASTING Memories! Keep showing your LOVE to all of your family and friends! AS always, we at Georgia Homes On My Mind, are always willing to HELP especially during these difficult times. Please let us know if we can do anything to assist you!
