Golf Carts: Please keep in mind that Georgia law states:

To drive a golf cart alone, a person must have a driver's license. When a non-licensed driver operates a golf cart and is accompanied by a licensed driver, the licensed driver is a responsible, liable party in the event of an accident.

Yard Debris: Please rake up leaves and deposit them appropriately. Do not blow anything into the street as it ends up in the storm drain.

Basketball hoops must be placed perpendicular to the driveway.

Street parking is only permitted if the driveway is full. Must face the direction of traffic. 4 hour limit. No parking on grass.

Trash cans must not be placed in the view from the road or the golf course view.

PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISIONS IS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28 AT 9PM.

CONTEST BALLOT WILL BE POSTED ON THE REUNION ACTIVITIES AND INFORMATION PAGE ON FACEBOOK AND EMAILED TO THE RESIDENTS.

EMPTY NESTERS

LEFT, CENTER, RIGHT (NO, NOT POLITICS!)

The Empty Nesters gathered at the Meeting House in August for a night of good food, fellowship and fun games.

While BINGO was the ticket the last time this group got together, this time it was an innocent little dice game with three initials: LCR (hint: it stands for Left, Center, Right).

If you know about this obscure little game, you know how wild it can get. Space limitations in The Patriot prevent us from explaining the complexity of Left, Center, Right, but event organizers Vicki Beaver and Carol Brody helped everyone get up-tospeed quickly. Soon, the Meeting House became as loud as the Cherokee Casino!

Three long tables, adorned with beautiful flowers from Carol Brody’s garden, were converted from dining tables to game tables! The Empty Nesters, who had just finished a catered meal of multiple salads and tasty desserts, stood up and were ready to play the game.

The ones who collected the most “money” (like monopoly money but the size of real dollar bills) were declared the winners. The winners were: Lorraine Horner, Dorothy Peterson and Gail Sawyer (each won a beautiful gift basket!).

STOP THE 185 APARTMENTS PLANNED FOR THE FRONT OF REUNION!

Members of Reunion presented our case for no apartments at the 9/18 Hall County planning committee meeting. The committee did not approve the current plans the applicant presented and requested revisions be made. There will be another meeting on October 16th for the applicant to present his revisions which is during the Hall County Fall break. We need all reunion residents to attend this meeting and wear red.
