COUNTRY CLUB

Mulch:

We at the Covenants Committee will start sending out friendly reminders in the Patriot, and hopefully, this information may be helpful to residents. Thank you to all for adhering to the Covenant and recognizing that these regulations are necessary to keep our community a visually attractive and safe place to live.

All mulch landscape beds must be covered with natural pine straw, chopped pine bark, or wood shavings. (Rubber mulch is not allowed.) Please make sure that the mulch has been spread out and unopened bags and pallets are not in view from the road.

Trashcans:

Trashcans must not be in view from the road, your next door neighbors, or from the golf course.

Vehicles and Parking:

No boat, trailer, camper, recreational, or other vehicle type may be parked or stored in open view on residential property for more than twenty-four hours.

All cars parked in open view and not in a garage must be operable and may not be unsightly.

No vehicle/golf cart may be parked on any yard. As a rule, parking vehicles on the streets within the community is prohibited. Temporary parking (four hours or less) is allowed if the Owner's driveway is full, not a nuisance to neighbors or an impediment to traffic flow. The vehicle must be parked with traffic. Owners are responsible for guest parking and must ensure that guests park safely and do not impede access to other driveways and traffic.

Mailboxes:

Springtime is here, and what a great time to repaint your mailbox. All mailboxes must be functional with no broken or removed parts and be freshly painted using the approved black color, and the red flag and gold embellishments must also be freshly painted if they show signs of fading. Remember to use the approved mailbox numbers with the correct black paint (satin).

Basketball Goals:

If you have a basketball goal in your yard, make sure to remove bags, blocks, and buckets used to anchor them down. This is part of the covenants, and we will be sending letters to homeowners starting May 31st.

FOUR LEAF CLOVERS, CORNED BEEF & DRAWING LEPRECHAUNS! GOING GREEN:

It was an ALL GREEN event as the Empty Nesters celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with a delicious Irish dinner and lots of fun!

Co-hosts Peggy and Mike Reiland and Maria and Alan Turk had the Meeting House rocking with all things Irish.

The food included Irish potatoes, corned beef and cabbage and roasted vegetables—along with generous helpings of desserts that included mint chocolate chip pudding and rainbow cupcakes with salted caramel frosting.

As if the Irish food wasn’t enough, Peggy & Maria (with an assist from Mike and Alan) devised a game called “Draw the Leprechaun”. Each table at was given the chance to draw (and color) a leprechaun, which were then put on a poster board and voted upon by each of the 40+ attendees.

The “winning” Leprechaun was drawn by a table consisting of Vicki Brooks, John Marshall, Vicki and Hal Beaver and Lisa and Dave Altman. Vicki ended up winning the grand prize, which included a beautiful basket filled with St. Patrick’s Day goodies!

We’d love to have you join us! We’ve got plans for some really fun spring and summer outings! If you don’t have any dependent kids at home and you’d like to join us on the third Saturday of each month, please send co-chair Kathy Sposa an email at ksposa@aol.com.

We are excited to kick off our 2024 pool season! To ensure a great season here’s a few friendly reminders.

Pool hours: 6am - 9pm. Weekday lifeguards will start on May 24th. NO GLASS, smoking or gum are allowed. Swim dippers AND rubber pants are to be worn at all times if not FULLY potty trained. Clean up after yourself. This means wiping tables, removing ALL trash and lowering umbrellas. The lifeguards are not a cleaning crew.

Respect the lifeguards at all times. Breaking rules can result in revocation of pool access. Slide is only open when lifeguards are on duty. 4 Guest per household No large floats. Lifeguards have the discretion based on capacity.

9:30 am Preschool Aquatics 1 (Ages 3-5)

No water experience necessary. Child will become familiar with the water without the parent. Skills include introduction to front kicks, blowing bubbles, breath control, underwater exploration, front/back glide, coordinated arm strokes, kicks and arm strokes on back, short breaths of air, introduction to lifejackets and pool rules.

10:00 am Preschool Aquatics 2 (Ages 4-5)

Advanced preschool class skills include front/back kicks, under water exploration, front/back glide, coordinated arm strokes and kicks on front/back, rotary breathing and elementary backstroke. 10:30 am Level 1/2 Introduction to Water Skills and Fundamental Aquatic Skills (Ages 6 & up)

Learn basics of swimming including entering/exiting the water, holding your breath underwater, supported and unsupported front/back float, flutter kicking, alternating arm strokes front/ back, submerging in chest deep water, coordinated arm stroke, explore deep water.

Level 3 Stroke Development (Must pass Level 2 skills)
