Does your mailbox need some TLC? Do it yourself: Here is a list of approved paint materials that can be purchased at any home improvement store. Mailbox standards include: - Brass numbers- Order replacement numbers by contacting the Clubhouse. They have self-adhesive and are easy to apply to a clean, prepared mailbox plate. If the numbers are faded, you can clean them with brass cleaner to brighten and renew their look. If they are weather damaged, you can remove them and order new ones. Replacements are $5 each, while supplies last. - Metallic silver accented Medallion- the community medallion must have a silver accent with a black background. - Black semi-gloss finish on the mailbox and pole- Do-it-Yourself with Rustoleum Textured paint, semi-gloss Black (#7220). Get out on the Lake!
As the weather gets warmer it’s time to get out on our lake. Come to the Clubhouse and check out a single or double kayak to take out on the lake. The cost is free, just bring your amenity card and ID.
Have your own watercraft?
Residents who have their own kayak, canoe, or electric trolling motor watercrafts need to come to the Clubhouse to get your watercraft registered and receive a Sterling on the Lake Boat Registration Sticker Decal before taking it out on the lake. If you have questions about the lakes and trails, please contact lakeandtrail@sterling-life.com If you have questions about boat rentals or registration on your boat, please contact activites@ sterling-life.com.

In 2018 we traveled the Rhine and Danube rivers on two separate Viking River Cruises, and in 2019 we’re cruising the Caribbean with Oceania Cruises and the Mediterranean with Holland America. IT’S ALMOST POOL SEASON! Here are some reminders for you and your family:
ALL POOLS WILL BE OPENING SATURDAY, MAY 18TH UNTIL MID-SEPTEMBER - Hours of Operation: 6am - 10am Swim at your own risk 10am - 9pm Lifeguard on duty - Pool bathrooms are open for residents at 8am - Residents are required to bring their access cards to the pool. There will be monitors at the Clubhouse Pool entrances checking access cards. - No more than 6 guests per family - All children who are not potty-trained MUST wear a swim diaper (such as “Little Swimmers”) AND Rubber pants in addition to a swimsuit. Do not dispose of diapers in the pool area.

“In Our Own Back Yards” Garden Walk Saturday, June 1, 2019 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The Biannual Hall County Master Gardeners Garden Walk will be Saturday, June 1st, 2019. It features Linwood Preserve Gardens, four host gardens, and the historic Piedmont Hotel in Gainesville including a tour with docents in dress from the period. One of the host gardens is here in Sterling on the Lake! Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance online at www.hallmastergardeners. com or at the Hall County Extension Office. Tickets purchased on June 1st at Linwood Nature Preserve or at one of the host gardens are $15. There will be FREE pass-along plants at one of the host gardens. This event will occur rain or shine. Residents are welcome to invite their non-resident guests to accompany them to the concert, but pre-purchased tickets will be required for your guest to enter the community that evening. Guest tickets must be purchased in the name of the guest attending. Guests will need to have a digital or printed copy of their ticket available for entry. Please plan ahead for purchasing tickets for your accompanied guests.
GLASS CONTAINERS, bottles, kegs or any other container other than paper or plastic cups may NOT be brought into the Village Green area. Grills, large rolling coolers or cooking elements are also NOT permitted.
PARKING DETAILS: Please plan to have your non-resident guests and/or extended family plan to park in your driveway for this event. Residents are asked (if possible) to walk down to the Village Green for the event or to carpool, as limited parking is available on Lake Sterling Boulevard or Lake Crossing Boulevard. Street Closures: All of our community entrances will be closed to cut-through & non-resident traffic, which will be diverted via our partners at Flowery Branch Police Department. Residents MUST HAVE THEIR Sterling on the Lake AMENITY CARDS AND their Georgia State DRIVERS LICENSE must reflect their Sterling on the Lake address to enter the community. If you have guests joining you for this event, please instruct them to ARRIVE PRIOR to the Road Closure Time of 5:30PM.

Her family has lived in Sterling on the Lake for thirteen years and being healthy and fit has always been important to Laura. Laura has been an instructor here for 3 ½ years and is certified in Yoga, Active Aging, PiYo, and Barre. Come out and try a class! Christy Recinella, PIYO instructor for Monday and Wednesday morning classes. Christy has been a PiYo student for 5 years and an instructor for almost 3 years. Christy and her family live in Sterling on the Lake. “I love PiYo and how it is a full body, sweaty, heart pumping workout without impact and can be done by all fitness levels.” Join Christy and other residents in one of her morning classes at the clubhouse.

Stefanie Long, YOGA instructor for our Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday morning classes. Stefanie is a registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance. She has been teaching for a little over 8 years, everywhere from a traditional yoga studio setting to boot camps. Stefanie has experience and training in a variety of yoga styles, such as lyengar, ashtanga, vinyasa, restorative, and power yoga. Additionally, she specializes in training and has certifications in trauma sensitive yoga, Christ Centered Yoga, yoga for teens, PiYo and paddle board yoga. Most of Stefanie’s classes are multilevel classes. She offers a lot of options and you choose what is best for your energy level, experience, physical limitations etc. Stefanie focuses on body alignment to maximize the benefit of the practice on your body and to keep you safe from injury.
