Association Manager’s Corner

Whose Job is it to Care for Our Community? From Kathy, your Association Manager The answer is, of course, that it’s all of our jobs. It is in our best interest to do all we can to protect our community. It only takes a few minutes to do, and it doesn’t have to be hard. Here are some tips to help us help ourselves: • Instead of littering, let’s pick up litter. Nothing says “nice neighborhood” like a clean neighborhood. • Let’s not speed on our own residential streets. Let’s not endanger children to save time. Do a full STOP at all stop signs. • No long-term or overnight parking permitted. • Let’s monitor the common areas. It does no harm to report suspicious activity to the Flowery Branch Police Department at (770) 531-6760.

• Let’s report street lights out to Jackson EMC. (770) 536-2415. Get the 5 numbers off the front of pole. • Let’s respect our neighbor’s property and not trespass. • Let’s not let our dogs bark outside and bother our neighbors. • Let’s keep our yards well manicured and reflect the pride we have in our homes. • Do not change anything to the exterior of your home, including erecting a playground, without written approval from the Design Review Committee (DRC). The Modifications Guidelines are listed online for your review under Community Documents, on www. Sterling-Life.com. • Please review your Sterling on the Lake overall Guidelines and

New Stop Sign Installation Please be aware that a new Stop Sign has been installed at Canopy Drive and Canopy Drive, which bisects Lake Crossing Drive as you approach the Black Jack Entrance/Exit of the community. As the community continues to grow, periodically new signage will be installed to manage the flow of traffic.

Poolside News

If you haven’t already had a chance to visit our newest Amenity Center, be sure to check out The Lodge! Located near the front of the community, at 6930 Flagstone Way, this pool is another option for your summer swimming. Open to all residents, The Lodge Pool features an accessible entry for those who need easier access. Also, this season welcomes back some of our pool staff, who are taking a management role. Matthew Pavoba, Loren Giobongo and Caroline Ahumanda; these team members will be in place this summer to assist and oversee the many moving daily (and sometimes hourly) tasks poolside, to ensure that as our community grows that all our pools keep running as smoothly and efficiently as possible. As you visit the pools for the 2016 Season, be sure to read over (at least once) the Pool Rules & Signs posted at each gate. There are many guidelines listed that are extremely important, such as the No Glass and Swim Diaper rules. • Did you know… If someone were to drop glass in the pool, the entire pool would have to be drained, cleaned and cleared of glass, and then filled back up… what does this mean for you? The pool would be CLOSED for 24 hours. If you see glass containers or bottles poolside, either ask your neighbor to remove them or let one of our pool team members know. • Did you know… Swim Diapers are to be used ALONG with rubber swim pants. If a contamination occurs because a resident (or resident’s guest) disregarded the rules, the pool would also have to be closed for most of the day for decontamination AND the resident is assessed a fee on their homeowner account. Additionally, please adhere to the guest policy; ALL guests must be accompanied by a homeowner with a Validated 2016 Amenity Card. (Minors with the appropriately issued cards are permitted one accompanied guest.)

If you would like to review the Pool Rules & Guidelines, please log in to www.Sterling-Life.com and visit the Pool section. As July days pass, keep in mind that our Sterling Stripers are still practicing for the season between the hours of 8am - 10am on weekdays. Questions and concerns should be addressed to BOTH KAndrews@cmacommunities.com and Pool@Sterling-Life.com. 30

Family Fitness Event

August 20th

With our annual kidFIT Triathlon of Georgia, our mission is to change lives across North Georgia!

What better way than to reach out to our children? We believe “a body in motion, stays in motion” and that children are a product of their environment. As an active mom in the fitness industry, both of my own two children are exposed to living a healthier, and fitter lifestyle. kidFIT Triathlon of Georgia caters to those who have never “tri’d” before, as well as to more experienced child triathletes. We are capping this event at an upper limit of 200 participants to allow for some breathing room for our novice competitors. Even more, parents for the younger ages of 5 and under will also be permitted to enter the water with their children. Register online by linking from our Sterling on the Lake Facebook Page, or via www.Sterling-Life.com!
