FROM THE MANAGER Just a reminder that the 2020 Assessments are due on February 1st. A late fee of 10% will be assessed on all accounts that have not been paid by March 1st, 2020. Coupons were mailed to all owners of record in December (payment coupons do not reflect statement balances). If you did not receive your payment coupon please email Jennifer Giacin at jgiacin@cmacommunities.com. Also, if you did not receive your payment coupon please remember that this does not negate your obligation to pay assessments. You can log on to www.traditionsofbraselton. org to manage your account, there is a convenience fee to pay by credit card but you may pay by check at no cost. You also have the option of bringing your payment to the onsite management office located at the clubhouse by the swimming pool and tennis courts. There is a lockbox located outside of the office door should we be away from the office or if you need to stop by after business hours.
NO PARKING ON THE STREET Automobiles shall be parked only in garages or in the driveways. No overnight parking on the street is permitted. If you must park in the street, please follow these guidelines for safe parking. Do not block driveways or mailboxes. Park as close to the curb as possible with your wheels turned away from the street. Do not park in areas where it is causing visual impairments to other drivers. Always be courteous of other drivers.

FROM THE MANAGER
Mailbox MAINTENANCE
One of the first things that you see when you pull up to a home is the mailbox. Because you pass it every day you may not take notice to the condition of your mailbox and that is why we have had to bring mailbox maintenance issues to the attention of many owners. Please take a moment to check the condition of your mailbox. The paint should not be faded or peeling on the box or flag. The numbers and flags should be intact. Please remember that only standard mailboxes are allowed in Traditions and if you need to install a new one it must be approved prior to installation; brass numbers should be installed, not stickers. We have already reached out to many owners asking them to replace stickers with brass numbers and we appreciate the cooperation that residents have shown in this effort. As with any maintenance item that we ask owners and residents to address, we do so in order to improve and maintain the Community Wide Standard for Traditions as we continue to strive to make the neighborhood the very best that it can be! If you need assistance with mailbox maintenance or replacement parts/ numbers please contact Brett Schwartz at gt2limes@aol.com. Brett can paint your mailbox and flag and polish brass numbers, make repairs and/or install a replacement box for you. Please contact him directly for pricing.

Your request must include all applicable sketches, material samples, and paint color samples. Please submit your request to admin@ traditionsofbraselton.org. 2. MODIFICATION PROCEDURE 3. You will receive written notice as to whether your request has been approved or denied along with any applicable conditions. 4. Once you receive approval you will be ready to start your project. Please remember that yard signs are prohibited in Traditions and make sure that your contractors are aware of this. It is ultimately your responsibly as the owner to ensure that this rule is followed and any resulting fines would be assessed to you, not the contractor. 5. Once the work is complete the ARB Committee will inspect to ensure that work was done as submitted. Your request will be marked as complete once the ARB Committee gives their final approval.

SOCIAL COMMITTEE NEWS
A NOTE FROM THE SOCIAL COMMITTEE: I still hear stories of people that do not hear about our events here in the neighborhood! If you have new neighbors, introduce yourselves, and make sure they are signed up to receive emails, are on the Homeowners private Facebook page, the Traditions Community Facebook page, and that they are getting the newsletter! If everyone is on these 4 avenues there is no way of not knowing what is going on in the neighborhood!!! Also, Traditions has grown so much our events are RSVP! The only way we can plan is to have everyone RSVP even for free events (remember if you rsvp for free events…we plan on you being there). We purchase according to the rsvp…so if you don’t show up, it is money wasted). There also will be events that are for residents only so watch the details on each event!

Blood Drive on
MARCH 6TH, JUNE 6TH AND NOVEMBER 5TH, 2020
Most everyone has known or have heard of our wonderful neighbor, Jerry Hohman who was very committed to the neighborhood and the community outreach programs. Among many other things, Jerry was dedicated to donating to the Red Cross. He routinely drove to Athens to donate platelets and was one of the first people to add his name to the donation list for our community Blood Drives. In recognition of Jerry’s commitment to the Red Cross, we as a community are honoring him by naming our community future blood drives “The Jerry Hohman Memorial Blood Drive”. This new year we will be having our community blood drives on MARCH 6TH, JUNE 6TH and NOVEMBER 5TH. We will be reaching out to the community to request their participation on our blood drives in order to increase our donation volume.
You may not have the time or resources to participate in several outside charity events, so donating blood in the community is an excellent way to give the greatest gift of all… The gift of saving someone’s life, which is priceless. Blood donation is a solidarity and lifesaving act. With your donation you could be saving the lives of infants, children, cancer patients, car accident victims, burn victims, sickle-cell patients, or at the very least improving the lives of these people. Please find it in your heart to contribute. It only takes about an hour and means more than you will ever know. It’s easy to rationalize that someone else will fill the need, but when more than 41,000 blood donations are needed every day, each and every donation helps ensure that when someone in our community needs blood in an emergency, we will have some to give them. YOUR hour in the donation chair matters to your community.
You are invited to sew with us at the “Pins & Needles”. The group quilts, sews, embroiders, appliqués, knits, crochets, and any other type of handwork you enjoy. We meet at the Traditions of Braselton Owner’s Clubhouse at 1665 Traditions Way, Jefferson, GA 30549 every third Friday of the month from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm. Bring your projects, lunch, drinks, and other equipment like a sewing machine, additional lighting, a power strip, and extension cords. An iron, ironing board and cutting mat will be provided. If you plan to attend or any have questions, please call Pam Poppe at 706-654-4776 or email her at ppoppe@mindspring.com . We hope you join us!!! Pam Poppe Pins & Needles Group

COMMUNITY NEWS
love
Filled with flowers, cards, dates, chocolates and romantic gestures. What if we take a journey this month on a path of “self-love?” In a world filled with pressures to be perfect, we begin to lose sight of that love. We seek perfection and end up on a path of selfsabotage and destruction. Never feeling satisfied and never finding happiness when we seek for perfection. Why? Perfection does not exist. However, we are perfect in God’s eyes. We are his works of Art! His Masterpieces! It is our imperfections and flaws that make us perfect when we accept ourselves for who we are, just as we are, today! We are all our own worst critics, guilty of looking in the magnifying mirror and judging ourselves. Next time you find yourself doing that, take a big step back, smile, and realize this is how others see you. Say, “I am beautiful”. “I am perfect just as I am, where I am.” Love yourself and be grateful! Wishing everyone a happy February and Valentine’s Day!! May your inner beauty reflect your outer beauty!
May you Shine! - Andrea Lagos Traditions of Braselton

News From The Courts
In the past few months the Traditions of Braselton Tennis Committee has been working diligently to upgrade our facilities. We have new scoreboards and new court rules signs. Volunteers also cleaned up the brush area behind the courts so if a ball is lost, it’s not impossible to find:)) Mixed Doubles is now in full swing. We have several teams in the neighborhood so come by any Sunday afternoon to watch some fun tennis. See you on the courts.

TRADITIONS OF BRASELTON NEWSLETTER – FEBRUARY 2020 –
Meet Our New Hostess with the Mostest! Please join us in welcoming our new Community Concierge, Karie Davis. Karie will be working out of the Discovery Center, greeting prospective new neighbors, providing them with a map and overview of Traditions’ outstanding amenities and unique blend of production and custom product, and making them feel welcome throughout their visit to our community. She will serve as the face of Traditions of Braselton for visitors, extending a sense of Southern Hospitality that is synonymous with our lifestyle-centric master-planned neighborhood. Karie is no stranger to the home building industry. Her history working with her husband – a home builder and renovator – gave her great insight into all aspects of the home building process. Her responsibilities included floor plan design, as well as coordination and acquisition of interior and exterior finishes. Her resume also includes a turn with a flooring company where she handled mobile in-home consulting, measuring and sales.
In both roles, she found the act of helping people beautify their homes to be truly rewarding. In addition to working at Traditions of Braselton, Karie and her husband are currently exploring home sites in hopes of making our community their new home. “I’m so looking forward to assisting in the Discovery Center, proudly giving prospective new neighbors an overview of the community and lifestyle,” said Karie. “I look forward to listening to what people are looking for. That will help me guide them to options in new homes that they can get excited about. I’m currently looking at vacant lots to have a home built here in the neighborhood. It will be so amazing to live, work and play in this beautiful community!” The addition of a Community Concierge at Traditions of Braselton is just one more way we’re endeavoring to set ourselves apart from other communities in the Metro Atlanta area. From our exciting mix of home builders to our outstanding amenity offerings to wonderful people just like you who call Traditions “home,” this truly is a community unlike any other.
Stay tuned for an introduction to our second “Hostess with the Mostest” – Hayley Lawrence – in next month’s issue of Traditions! We plan to enhance the team with additional Community Concierges in the months to come.
