“Our Deepest Fear” by Marianne Williamson “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Eisha Branner, a native of Pontiac, MI a dedicated mother of 4 wonderful daughters (Destinee, Micah, Jala, Jerma’nee) has been an amazing leader and example of tenacity, endurance and bravery amongst her peers and youth in the city of Pontiac. Eisha Branner is a proud graduate class of 2002 from Pontiac Central high school. She continued her educating following her graduation attending Oakland Community College. Eisha received her associated degree in Applied Science in Criminal Justice Corrections in 2009, graduated with her bachelor’s in Criminal Justice Administration in 2012 from University of Phoenix. Shortly after she went and pursued her master’s in human services with a specialization in Multidisciplinary Human Services in 2018. As a “Career professional”, Eisha Branner created a nonprofit organization in 2015 that was a mentoring program for young boys. Eisha named it “Fitness &Mentoring”. This was a program for just boys ages 8-16 at the time. The kids in the program would meet once a week for 4 hours for 8-weeks. All kids that were registered in the mentor program parents also received one on one case management and resources. During their meet, they worked out, hear from positive male speakers, and was taught social skills. In 2016 Eisha joined forces with the PAL League to expand the Fitness & Mentoring Program and also complete a mentor grant that was awarded from National PAL. Since the partnership, Eisha has served over 500 youth in her community with mentoring, wraparound services for the families, and fitness. In 2019 The Sheriff PAL program ired Eisha Branner full time to be the Community Outreach Director for the Organization. The passion and purpose of such successes evolved from childhood therapeutic measures such as mentoring and sports programs. Growing up around drug infested crime stricken and low poverty neighborhoods such as Pontiac, Eisha Branner founded Fitness and Mentoring to assist with some of the community needs. As a young visionary, Eisha was inspired to become a mentor to the attention starved youth mostly single parent households. This enthusiasm couple with diligent efforts proved to be a springboard to success for many of the youth in the city of Pontiac and surrounded cities. Growing every day, Fitness & Mentoring now serves approximately over 300 girls and boys participating in the mentoring program. With an ever-evolving curriculum, Fitness & Mentoring also provides life skills, training mentorship and tutoring programs. Fitness & Mentoring works diligently to offer programs that ensure their youth obtain the general concept of sportsmanship, teamwork and love for their community. The program fosters a gateway to diversity, cultural awareness and positive

experiences. In December 2019, Eisha Branner decided to part ways with the Oakland County Sheriff PAL program and pursue her dreams. She is now the Founder/CEO of her own nonprofit called E-Community Outreach Services. ECommunity Outreach Services was created to help families in need achieve and maintain selfsufficiency through case management services, community resources, counseling, and other support services. “The best way to find yourself

is to lose yourself in the service of others.”

Cameryn Hillman, Child Educational Advocate Atlanta, Georgia Serving as an advocate for students with mental illness is my specialty. My ears perk up when a parent tells me how they have asked for support at their child's school, but their requests have fallen on deaf ears. That's when I start asking questions, and a lot of them. My father told me a time or two that I would make a good lawyer. While I do respect the field and believe in justice for all, I never had the desire to become a lawyer. Not even the potential income to be earned was enough to convince me otherwise. Similar to a lawyer, I like to consider myself a bulldog (former University of Georgia student and lifetime fan by the way) when it is time to come to the table with all the stakeholders who have a say in a child's mental health and educational success. My driving force is always, "What would I want for this child if they were my own?" And that is how I see all of my clients, like they are my own. I call them "Angels", especially the ones who have bounced around from foster home to foster home, because they have become too accustomed to dysfunction and self-sabotage. They do not believe they are love, and can be loved, especially by a stranger who says they want to help them. They trust no one. Those are the children I especially love going the extra mile for, because there are not many other people doing it for them. "You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice." - Bob Marley

When she was only 16 years old, Tenika Dawson read a book that would ultimately change her life. The author shared that most people who have accumulated great wealth did so through real estate. This immediately sparked an interest and curiosity in Tenika, who would live in 23 different houses by the time she was 17 years old. Never having a “family home” inspired her to work toward eradicating housing insecurity, not just for herself, but for those in her community. She was determined to break the transient generation curse. This fascination with home ownership would lead her to a passion she didn’t even know that she had. While laser focused on building a real estate empire, Tenika realized that to avoid being taken advantage of, she needed to understand what a good repair should look like. She deduced that by educating herself in construction, she would be better equipped for building her real estate business. In 2013, she became a member of the Carpenter’s Union and soon after, her alter ego, “Lady Carpenter,” was born. In 2017, she realized a long time dream, when she purchased her first investment property. She is now the owner of Lady Carpenter, LLC and Lady Carpenter Consulting, started in 2018, to help manage invitations to speak at events and to host workshops. She is an avid learner and Tenika enthusiastically shares all that she has learned about construction, real estate, and marketing. She also serves on the board of Ujamaa Collective, promoting fair trade and the works of African artisans. As a Certified MWBE, Lady Carpenter LLC is a registered General Contractor with the State of PA and City of Pittsburgh and specializes in Interior Construction. Tenika has been featured on her local station, KDKA and in WQED’s documentary, "Flipping Pittsburgh," as an affordable housing provider. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Soul Pitt Magazines have also featured Lady Carpenter in their publications. Her clients include the City of Pittsburgh Urban Redevelopment Authority and Duquesne University, among others. With a

heart for helping others, Tenika is positioning Lady Carpenter as a valuable resource to make rehabbing and construction safer for women. She continues to grow by utilizing local small business incubators and resources like Biz Fit, Bridgeway Capital, Diversity Business Resource Center and Omicelo’s Real Estate CoPowerment Training. Her client list includes City of Pittsburgh Urban Redevelopment Authority, SHAPE Development Group, Energy Innovation Center, Hill District CDC, Duquesne University, LaVelle Real Estate and Riverside Center for Innovation. Tenika is the proud mother of three daughters and holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Sciences and Technology from Penn State University. As a teen, she remembers staying in a women’s shelter with her mother and four younger siblings. Now, she is helping other families by becoming an affordable housing provider. Her daughters help to run the businesses, making them family owned and operated. After taking advantage of an opportunity to travel to the West African country of Ghana, she became involved with other organizations, which inspire international travel, by organizing group travel events. She loves traveling with her children in tow. She believes that she is to be a gateway for them and others to live their best and most full lives. She also feels that the best way to do that is to test the limits of her own potential. In her spare time, you can find Tenika at Black Mountain Spirit in Homestead, training for her next Kung Fu tournament. Tenika’s ultimate goal is to grow her real estate empire and travel the world with her children. She also aspires to help other families grow their portfolios. She wants to assist others in building and passing on generational wealth. Her life’s mission and message is a powerful one: “I want to be an example of what is possible, regardless of what others say, regardless of where or how we start…it is the story that we create and the way we choose to finish this journey that matters. This is how I want to be remembered.”

I AM A BLACK WOMAN hear me ROAR!! The black woman is on the rise, and I am blessed to be amongst them. My name is Tonja Harden, daughter of Henry & Minnie Harden, baby sister to Minetta, Sheena, & Sherri, and mother to Andre Rison Jr. I was born and raised in Flint, MI, in a loving close knit neighborhood, where I attended Jefferson Elementary, Flint Academy, and Flint Northwestern H.S. I have always been a cheerleader, motivator, and HUGE extrovert, but along my journey, I have often been challenged with the realities of life. After meeting and falling in love with my high school sweetheart, I followed him to Michigan State University, where I found myself pregnant after my sophomore year. That blow knocked me down, but not out. We later married and created a life that I thought would last forever. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. 4 years later, I was divorced, and starting over. Southfield, Michigan became my new permanent residence. In 1997 I began teaching and mentoring Special Needs students in the Southfield Public School System. I am also a direct care worker to a young lady who has Down Syndrome, and work

with Special Forces, a group of young adults living with mental and physical disabilities. I have a strong passion for advocating for those who cannot advocate for themselves. During my career, I have been faced with many challenges. 3 years after my father’s sudden death in 2012, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. In December 2015, I was told I was stage 2 Triple Negative, which is an aggressive type of cancer. That blow was even more devastating, but God covered me and here I am, all praises due to the Almighty! Through all of that, my passion for media persevered. I’ve recently started a talk show, “What’s Buzzin Cuzzin??” with my cousin and cohost Ju Harden. We discuss problematic relationship topics which is a constant in households all across the world. My cousin and I are extremely passionate about perfecting our craft and becoming the next big phenomenon. We are praying to one day be on a larger platform, where we can receive national recognition. My faith in God is the reason I am alive to tell my story today. I am blessed and I encourage others to find the blessings in their lives. God freely gives them to you, just allow them to manifest.

From getting actors casted and independent films noticed to creating models and helping to brand local designers and boutiques to hosting and planning Fashion events, Foresteen’s Entertainment Productions is getting its name attached. oresteen’s Entertainment Productions was created out of a need to give every person, regardless of size, shape and height, a chance to look and feel like models. Too many ladies were made to feel unpretty because they did not fit industry standards. (A reality Foresteen is all too familiar with.) Small boutiques and designers were looking for that something different from the industry standard models as they wanted to reach real people that

looked like, well, their target audiences which comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. Due to her own dealings in the industry, it was service Foresteen’s Entertainment Productions was happy to provide, finding models and giving them that platform they wouldn’t normally have to fit companies branding images. Foresteen’s Entertainment Productions, then, opened its doors to actors and actresses that wanted a break into the acting world with roles in independent films. Independent productions were very receptive to eager new talents wanting the chance to showcase their skills. (Again, an experience Foresteen can relate to.) oresteen knows the struggles that her clients face as she has experienced every obstacle herself and still does face at times. From being told: ‘You’re too short’ ‘You’re too fat’ ‘You’re not fat enough’ ‘You’re too old’ ‘You don’t look old enough’ ‘Your voice isn’t strong enough’ ‘You talk to fast’ ‘You talk to

slow’ ‘You just don’t have the right look’, she has heard it all. Now she is giving back and helping others through Foresteen’s Entertainment Productions. She is always on to the “Next Level” productions that keeps her clients happy and excited to work with her. From Fantasy to Glamourous shoots or from Everyday to Horror shoots, from small roles to lead roles, Foresteen’s Entertainment Productions creates those bridges for clients to network and collaborate. The Truth about Alternative Credit Data In the age of technology and smartphones, a new trend is becoming popular with credit bureaus. The term is called “Alternative Credit Data” used to determine creditworthiness. According to Rent Track, 60 million adults in the U.S. function on a daily basis with little to no credit. In these cases, the people may be unable to qualify for loans, open credit cards, or other accounts like mobile phones, or in some cases get a job or rent an apartment. The issue is disheartening for someone trying to succeed, so the government and credit bureaus have chosen to use alternate methods of verifying creditworthiness. Along with the ability to examine online Internet usage credit history, it can also be used to minimize fraud situations. By using Alternative Credit Data it allows for a more organic approach to determining credit lending. According to Catch-22- of Credit states, “you need credit to generate a credit score, but you can't get credit without a credit score, it’s an unfair cycle that must be broken.” Hence, the reason for alternative data. It is a common problem for people with lower incomes, certain ethnic groups, and some young individuals to gain credit. Typically, FICO has always used other information to determine your credit report, but it’s becoming a new trend to use online data as well. The plan is to depict your financial behavior through daily habits. Consumers online digital footprints can be a clear indicator of creditworthiness. The world of finance has progressed immensely; gone are the days of walking into a bank to get a loan. Since alternative options are becoming popular, consumers go online and research digital loans. They can find the best rates, fill out the application and get approved without ever leaving the home. Alternative Credit Data give you this outlet. However, it’s important to debunk the myths associated with this financial decision. Myth One: Alternative Credit Data is irrelevant. Myth Two: Borrows with little or no credit is high risk. Myth Three: Alternative Credit is not accurate or does not have merit. Myth Four: Alternative Credit is damaging to the consumer. Anytime a lender loans money there is always a risk of nonpayment. It’s an inevitable outcome that creditors accept. But to say that a low-income person, recent immigrant, or young consumer will be a credit risk it faulty thinking. Experian states, “One in five U.S. consumers has an alternative financial services data hit– some of these are even in the exceptional or very good credit segments.” In, fact the alternative finance data has proven to be 99.9% accurate.

Another exciting outlet for populations that have struggled with obtaining credit, Experian also created a credit profile for their demographics. Extended ViewSM Score - Assess the creditworthiness of underserved consumers

Other sources of concern implicate alternative credit data to be harmful to the borrower, but studies have shown when information is assessed correctly lenders believe the credit data will help consumers who are less likely to be approved under traditional lending application methods.

LinkedIn Dr. Chayo Briggs

Experian has joined the trend by adapting a new style of lending aspects called, “Credit 3D.” By using a credit profile combined with a trended credit data it displays a true customer lifecycle. It allows creditors to predict new markets and opportunities for assisting potential clients. In addition, Experian has developed credit profiles to manage policies that attract consumers and retain customers. The Trended Solutions include:Experian TAPSSM - Total annual credit card and charge card spend Trend ViewSM - Find customer credit trends Quest Line Management AttributesSM - Monitor customer credit line levels

Prequalification - Prequalify consumers for credit in real time at the point of contact Income InsightSM Models - Determine a customer’s ability to meet their financial obligations Premier AttributesSM - Make strategic decisions across the Customer Life Cycle Experian Credit EducatorSM - Provide your customers with personalized education sessions

In society, having just an average credit rating may not be enough. Think of your credit score as a resume, your life history. appeals not only to women’s point of view but men as well. I’ve always gravitated to compositions that had movement (mostly with some sort of jazz feel). With not only the mixture of an organic subject context, in combination with the harmonic melodies I’m able to capture, I know this song is special. I feel the audience will feel how vulnerable I am, maybe even reminisce on times when they felt the exact same way. I, for instance, am a very “All or nothing” type of person. So in reference to this subject matter, sometimes I get caught up and overthink what the person I love really means when we have discussions. Knowing this is one of my traits, I always explain to (whoever She believes the song that sets her apart would I’m with) how deep my mind can wonder. Love be “Told You So” When I write my songs, I does that to me, and I’m sure it does the same to have found that the overall feel of my music others.

After 20 plus years in the banking industry, I decided to drastically change directions. I've spent years learning how the 'big guys' do digital marketing, and now I choose to share my talents with small to mid sized business owners and non profit entities. I choose to live on purpose. I fuel my servant leader's passion by helping others. As a small business owner, I can re-

late to the struggles of doing it all...the trials, the errors and the frustration of feeling lost in this social media marketing driven world. This is exactly why I believe in focusing on learning and sharing all things automations. The pandemic has changed business AND consumer behavior. If we don’t accept, innovate and lead in this space…our businesses will die.
