Now-August 30: Sacrifices of War The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society has opened their summer exhibit focusing on the sacrifices residents of Lycoming County made during times of war. The display includes artifacts from the museum’s permanent collection ranging from weapons to ration books. Several cookbooks are included, suggesting the use of ‘substitutes’ for items that were rationed including butter and sugar. Some of the more intriguing pieces are the numerous uniforms, and propaganda posters on display. The exhibit complements the museum’s permanent exhibit which discusses military history from the Revolutionary War through the conflict in the Persian Gulf. www. tabermuseum.org Williamsport Now-September 6: Art Exhibit Featuring Ben McLaughlin: Road Trip Bucknell’s Downtown Gallery invites you to this solo exhibition by Scottish artist Ben McLaughlin featuring paintings of the overlooked spaces of travel – motels, rest stops, and farms seen from the road – inviting viewers to imagine an American road trip at twilight. Our most popular attraction, tours are held on the hour during scheduled times. Apple treats are sold in 1 lb buckets for only $1 in our gift shop. The deer are eager to be fed by hand and come running to the wagon to get their yummy treats. Our farm-raised red deer venison is for sale yearround in our shop. Our venison is naturally raised with no antibiotics or growth hormones. High in protein and iron but low in fat and cholesterol, itʼs a perfect choice in societyʼs recent strive for healthy living. Red deer venison is also high in vitamins B6 and B12.

We raise over 400 red deer on our farm near Bloomsburg, Pa. During summer months and early fall, hayride tours guide visitors through over two hundred acres of rolling landscape to hand-feed the deer and snap pictures. Itʼs our goal to make your tour fun, hands-on and educational. • Tours leave on the hour and take about 50 minutes. • Open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. through August. Closed Sundays. September and October - Friday & Saturday only
