Scouts Clean Up! On Sunday, July 19th, 2015, 3 members of Cub Scout Pack 3520 braved the above average heat and humidity in Central Pennsylvania to clean the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail between 4th Street and Forest Hill Road in Mifflinburg. The scouts, James Donlin, Eli Erickson and Garrett Franck picked up rubbish left on the trail as part of their pack’s monthly community service project. Several people who were using the Rail Trail thanked the boys for their commitment in keeping the trail clean. After the clean up, the boys had some fun by locating geocaches that had been placed along the trail by Webelo Leader Gail Erickson. Geocaching has become a popular treasure hunting game using a GPS enabled device. Using coordinates given to them, the boys were able to locate the caches that had been hidden along the trail.
