TIME IS RUNNING OUT FOLKS - FREE HOUSE--Victorian Lady/Vic’s Pub—Lewisburg, PA SAVE THE HOUSE! The Victorian Lady, also known as Vic’s Pub, located at 2167 Old Turnpike Rd in Lewisburg, PA is going to be given away later this year to anyone who would like to relocate the structure. Due to brand mandated updates, Blaise Alexander Ford is beginning additions and alterations to the current dealership facility. The Alexander family regrets that they are unable to repurpose the old landmark as part of the mandated improvements. Due to public sentiment and community spirit, the Alexander family has decided to offer the existing Victorian Lady/Vic’s Pub to anyone or organization at NO COST. The house must be completely removed along with all foundations, underground utilities, and sidewalks. The buyer is completely responsible for all associated costs. The buyer’s contractor must be fully insured, and be licensed in PA. Timeframe on this removal is subject to change and cannot be finalized until later this Fall 2018. If anyone is interested in removing and relocating the house, please contact Aubrey Alexander at 570-368-8677 ext 11111 for more details. You can also send a letter request to Aubrey Alexander at 10 Alexander Dr. Muncy PA 17756. ufn WORKSHOP is specifically designed to assist people who will be enrolling in Medicare, either because they will turn 65 years old or because they receive Social Security disability benefits. The workshop

is also appropriate for spouses and caregivers. Roughly 100,000 Pennsylvanians enroll in Medicare each year. Many struggle to make the right decisions about their coverage because they do not have clear information. The Medicare enrollment process is complex and there are key decisions that must be made according to strict deadlines. There are also programs available that can help Medicare enrollees save money. Beneficiaries are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to get information from highly trained people who will offer unbiased advice. To register, please call 570495-2384. The Northumberland County Agency on Aging is a local affiliate of APPRISE, a program of the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, the designated State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) in Pennsylvania. SHIPs receive grant funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to provide direct, local assistance to Medicare beneficiaries through one-onone, counseling sessions (both in-person and over the phone), presentations, and public education programs. APPRISE is a free health insurance counseling program designed to help Pennsylvanians with Medicare. For more information, visit Northumberland County Agency on Aging website at www.ncaging.org. AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY ROAD TO RECOVERY PROGRAM SEEKS VOLUNTEERS Imagine being diagnosed with cancer, but you don’t have transportation to your cancer treatments. Every patient in our area

miss potentially lifesaving cancer treatment because they are too ill to drive themselves and are unable to find a ride. The American Cancer Society Road To Recovery® program provides free transportation to and from cancer treatment. The program needs volunteers to coordinate rides, as well as volunteer drivers. For more information about volunteering or about the American Cancer Society’s programs and services visit www.cancer.org or call 1-800-227-2345. ufn RENT & PROPERTY TAX REBATES Forms and assistance are available at no cost from Department of Revenue district offices, state legislators’ offices, UnionSnyder Community Action Agency, or by contacting the Agency on Aging in your county. The National Center for Safe Routes to School serves as the national coordinating agency for Walk to School activities in the United States. Walk to School Day began as a simple idea – children and parents, school and local officials walking to school

together on a designated day. It is an energizing event, reminding everyone of the simple joy of walking to school, the health benefits of regular daily activity, and the need for safe places to walk and bike. Schools focus on health, safety, physical activity and concern for the environment. Organizations supporting International Walk to School Day in the United States
