Steven Klapp (570)-490-3879. Ufn Now-March 3: The Penn State Extension Master Gardener program provides interested individuals with extensive training in many phases of gardening. In return, participants volunteer to teach horticultural information to the public based on university research and recommendations. Participants meet weekly on Thursday evenings in Mifflinburg from 6-9pm, from October 3rd to March 3rd (with breaks for academic and religious holidays). Penn State Professors, Extension Educators, and Master Gardeners present on specific topics, including vegetable gardening, native plants, grass and lawn care, fruit trees and much more. The fee for the Penn State Extension Master Gardener Basic Training is $200, and includes a copy of the awardwinning Penn State Master Gardener Manual. “I came into this class knowing a fair amount about gardening, especially native plants and organic vegetable gardening, so I thought this would be a refresher course for me. Not only did I learn new things about topics I thought I knew well, but I also learned about horticultural areas of interest I had yet to explore. We began the course with a solid plant biology lesson, which was the framework for the remainder of our studies. I especially enjoyed the classes on fruit trees, ornamental plants/landscaping, and indoor plants. Besides the classroom knowledge, I encountered a wide network of professional educators and learned of many online and print resources.” says Jen Schneidman Partica, Master Gardener Apprentice from the 2018-19 Penn State Extension Master Gardener Basic Training Course. Application form and payment are due by September 21st. Applications are available at: Penn State Extension, 343 Chestnut Street, 2nd Fl., Mifflinburg, PA17844, 570-556-4757. 5 Dates • Feb 14 - Feb 24 Cyrano RiverStage Community Theatre RiverStage presents a witty new adaptation of Edmond Rostand’s much adored tale of language, love, and loss. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, it’s the ultimate swashbuckling romantic story! Swordplay! Wordplay! Love, roses and really long noses! During war time in 17th-Century France, the hero Cyrano is in love with the beautiful Roxane but too afraid to express his feelings to her because of doubts about his own ugliness. Instead, he befriends the handsome but dull Christian and helps the younger man to win Roxane’s heart by writing elegant love letters and teaching him the arts of courtship and poetry. Their adventures unfold from there, taking the audience on a compelling journey through the romantic streets of Paris and the dramatic battlefields of France. Critics have described this modern adaptation as “rhythmically beautiful, humorous, emotionally resonant and convincing… .This version of Cyrano de Bergerac is interesting and entertaining, a thoughtful piece of work which makes many bold choices. This is by far the funniest CYRANO you will ever see…. Three cheers and a flourish of a feathered hat to that!” This ode to love reminds us that sometimes what you’re looking for is… right under your nose. 2 dates left Reading with Reptiles: Story Time at the Zoo

I am really happy with my new hearing aids. I play and sing in a band. They have been helping me with my harmony singing. The testing for me was smooth. My service and adjustments , when I need them is wonderful. - Carson Keiser

With my new hearings aids, I really didn’t realize how much I was missing. It’s funny, we have some bushes in front of our house and my wife would say the birds are driving me crazy. I had no idea what she was talking about. Now I do. The hearing aids really help tinnitus. It’s still there, but not nearly as bad as it was before I had hearing aids. I would highly recommend Jennifer at Artisan Hearing Technologies, if you have any trouble with your hearing.

Testimonials: (Looking for some new comments of success) Fall 1991 and January 1992 Testimonials: My cousin and his new wife (both in their early 40’s) were visiting my mom, my sister, and I. My sister asks, “So, how did you meet?” They kind of giggled and asked each other, “Should we tell them?” They said they met through the LYBL column. My sister and I decided we would try our fare at meeting “Mr. Right”. (BTW, my cousin and his wife are still married and hopelessly in love.) My sister didn’t have much luck, but in January 1992, I saw this ad that kept drawing my attention. As described, he really wasn’t what I was looking for, but... We met later that month for the first time; got engaged in 1993 and married in 1994. We will celebrate our 25th anniversary this October and we have a 23-year-old daughter who lives out of state. Thank you, LYBL! Mr. & Mrs. J.N. 4/4/17 Testimonial: I placed an ad 1/2/94 and met the love of my life. He has 3 boys and I have 3 girls. We were married 8/26/95 and now we’re the Brady Bunch.
