Price vs. Value “It is unwise to pay too much, but it is worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money—that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot—it cannot be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better.” John Ruskin, Philosopher, 1819‐1900

Vanessa Matthews posted on Instagram: "Gone Home" One of my favorite images hanging at Fotofest. I was honored when Nathan's mom asked me to take a picture of his boots on a fence. Nathan was only 5 years old when he was diagnosed with the horrible brain disease, DIPG. This picture couldn't be more perfect since Nathan has gone home to heaven. Nathan's story changed my life for the better. I'm so thankful I met this family! #ppghouston #fotofest2014

The Last Laugh
By Curley Marshall, CPP
The Last Laugh is a new feature for 2014. This is a page where you can share your photo bloopers from your sessions. The Last Laugh is not intended to offend or poke fun at anyone, more to bring a smile with something like those adorable funny faces of children or crazy mishaps during pet portraits. To submit a photo for The Last Laugh, email viewfinder@ppgh.org.
