Pace oF Play I have received several questions lately about what is expected of players as far as “pace of play” on our golf course. First of all, our new 9 hole time frame is 2 hours and 5 minutes. It is very important that you keep up with the group in front of you. Also, remember that there will be twosomes, threesomes and foursomes on the course and also golfers only playing 9 holes. Gaps will occur because of this; however they should tighten up as long as everyone is playing within the allotted time. Please listen to the Rangers when they ask you to pick up the pace, pick up your ball or skip a hole as they are only doing their job. When you go to the driving range, practice green or chipping area; you should always practice like you would play. For example‌ Make a fairway in your mind on the driving range and see how many times you can hit that fairway. When you are chipping, have an imaginary circle (3 feet or so) and see how many times you can get your ball that close.
