WELCOME

Hello and welcome

T

Thank you for attending the game today between Villa fans vs Blues fans. We are all raising money for The Baby Blue Charity and for Ken and his little son Connor Mole. Ken unfortunately lost his partner Lindsay last year from and epileptic fit, she had a rough year having a brain tumour and lost her life from a huge seizure. I promised Ken, that I would help in any way possible. With my love of football and music I decided to organise a football game, I did one last year for cure leukaemia and it was a huge success, but we did have lots of teething problems with sponsors, raffle prizes and much more. This year I have tried my hardest to iron out all the creases and to make this event even bigger and better. I would like to thank Sutton town FC and Neal Murall for helping us host the event. I would like to thank all the ex pros and players for taking part in the event, Dean Lomas

for PR and marketing and organising Blues players. Special thanks goes to our donators: Love Brum, Hals Sandwich, Arthur J Gallager, DM and Co estate agents. You will notice all the cameras round the pitch to broadcast the game so please look happy and smile, this is a day for Ken and Connor and celebrating Lindsay’s life. Thank you to Michael Roper of 24/7 TV for making this possible. We are doing a raffle this year, there are so many great prizes to be won. There is a list of raffle prizes on pg 6. Also Pete from Club Development for PR posters and program design, and much more. I also would like to thank my wife Petra for putting up with me organising this event and most of all to you guys for attending today’s game. I wish you all the best for Xmas and the New Year! Many thanks!

ABOUT THE CHARITY

A HUGE THANK YOU

F

irst and foremost I want to say a huge thank you to Steve and his crew for all the hard work they have put into this event, it just goes to show what people can achieve when they come together and just care about what happens in this world, to the sponsors, the celeb players, anybody that has donated money time or prizes you are all just amazing and the fact that you have made a difference means a lot to myself and my family. Having to come to terms with losing my Baby blue girl has been and always will be the hardest thing I’ve had to do, and for Connor to lose his mom before he even got to know her well it’s something you never think is going to happen to your family and then it does, the devastation it has left both side of the family in is unthinkable but we are learning

to be strong for her and for each other Lynsey was and always will be a special part of the life’s of all who knew her, she was a fighter no matter what the world threw at her, and she just cared about everybody, she made people laugh she made them smile she made a difference and that’s what the charity is all about making a difference no matter how big or small. Today’s event is all about people getting together having fun making some good memories and raising money for good causes, so again I just want to say thank you to everyone involved and I hope you all have a great day

ASTON VILLA XI

tony daley

Daley joined hometown club Aston Villa as an apprentice and soon made his senior debut aged 17 on 20 April 1985 in a 2–0 defeat at Southampton. He played for the Midlands club for ten seasons, nine at the highest level, and finished a runner-up in both the 1989–90 and 1992– 93 league championships. He also played in their 1994 League Cup final triumph where they defeated Manchester United at Wembley. Tony also played 7 times for England, with his debut against Poland in a 1-1 draw.

gareth farrelly

Farrelly played schoolboy football for Home Farm. Aston Villa signed him as a 16-year-old in 1992, and he made his Villa début on the 20th of September 1995 against Peterborough United. He moved to Everton in July 1997 for approximately £700,000. Farrelly made his full international début for Ireland as a 21-year-old, and has six caps.Farrelly joined Bohemian in late August 2004 as player-manager, making his début as a late substitute in the 1–0 home win against Cork City on 17 September 2004.

Ugo Ehiogu

Ehiogu began his career at West Bromwich Albion as a trainee, turning professional in 1989. After just a few games for Albion in the Second Division, Ron Atkinson brought him to First Division Aston Villa for £40,000 in August 1991. By 1994, he had replaced Shaun Teale as the main central defensive partner to Paul McGrath. He remained at the club for nine years, making over 300 appearances in all competitions. He was part of the Villa team that won the 1996 League Cup

BIRMINGHAM CITY XI Paul Devlin

Paul made more than 500 appearances in the Football League and Premier League, Devlin's Birmingham City career got off to a great start and the player showed he was still more than capable of playing in the First Division by scoring a further seven times for the club before the end of the 1995/96 season. Devlin won the first of his 10 Scotland caps in a friendly against Canada in October 2002, and last played for them in September 2003, against the Faroe Islands in a Euro 2004 qualifying match.

Geoff Horsfield

Martin O'Connor

Geoff made more than 300 appearances in the Football League playing as a striker. He was their top scorer in his first season, finding the net on twelve occasions, and his two goals in the second leg of the League Cup semi-final helped the club reach their first major final for nearly 40 years. Horsfield's first Premier League goal came in the September 2002 local derby defeat of Aston Villa. He also scored in the return fixture at Villa Park, an eventful game in which he ended up keeping goal when Nico Vaesen was injured after Birmingham had used all their substitutes.

O'Connor started his career at Bromsgrove Rovers in the early 1990s before moving to Crystal Palace. He then spent the first of three spells at Walsall, joining on loan in March 1993 before signing permanently the following year. His most prominent role at the Saddlers was winning promotion to Division Two in 1995. He then joined Peterborough United, followed by Birmingham City, whom O'Connor represented in the 2001 Football League Cup Final against Liverpool, which Birmingham lost in a penalty shootout.

MESSAGE FROM PETER WITHE I wish everyone to enjoy the day and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

T

he organization of a charity event is very hard to achieve, I strive to help my son Stephen any way possible helping with players and any other advice I can offer. We did a charity game for Cure Leukaemia last year and it was a huge success.

When you organise events after the project you do a revue of the event and realise that their was area that you may have done better it is called a learning curve so you endeavour to do it better which we hope to achieve with this new project. My son Stephen lived in Dorridge he became friends with his neighbour Ken and his partner Lynsey I meet them on occasions they was expecting there first child.Unfortunately Ken lost his partner to a epileptic fit after the birth of there child this was a devastating day for Ken his and Lynsey's family I wish to pass on my sincere condolences to them all. Stephen had a vision about helping so decided to put on the event today, I am disappointed that I will be unable to attend the game but Stephen has arranged for the game to be covered by Internet TV so I will be able to see the game in Australia where I am currently. I would like to thanks Stephen and everyone involved with staging this event, thanks to all the celebrity players for giving up there time also all the participating players who have contributed to making this event possible. Stephen arranged this day for Ken but more importantly to make it a special day celebrating Lynsey's life. As you are aware I played for more clubs than Rory McIIroy has in his bag and along they way played for both clubs and have fond memories. I wish everyone to enjoy the day and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
