Easter Hospital Strike moved ‘For Responsibility’.
The Torrevieja Hospital Working Committee has decided to delay the strike that it had announced for Easter "for responsibility",since they are aware of the "impact that it would have to hold it on Holy Thursday, so we moved it to Tuesday 11 April", explained Fran García,from CC OO. The announcement was made during the reading of the manifesto at the doors of the Hospital, where the workers who held a new protest demanded that the Ministry negotiate a new agreement.

Just a few kilometres along the road at the Vega Baja Hospital, where the multi million euro extension plans were being unveiled, the Minister of Health confirmed that the objections to the agreement previously negotiated with Ribera Salud will be withdrawn although Yolanda Hidalgo,a member of the Hospital Committee said,"Until we see proof in the courts, they are just words, and the words are carried away by the wind, the strike will still go ahead, but a few days after Easter, when tourists have left the region which will have then returned to it’s normal numbers.”

Regarding the negotiation of that agreement together, they have said that they have no official record of that request for joint negotiation.Although they would be willing to enter into it, but they warn: It will have to be with the most advantageous conditions for all the departments (alluding to Alzira) and stating that the Torrevieja Committee must be included in the negotiations as they are the only ones legitimised to reach agreements that affect their staff.
