Julie Henderson has been working on a series of tree and landscape images since early 2020, with special attention given to leafless trunks and branches. Trees are historical documents, with their markings, branches, and tendrils a form of writing describing their experience. Henderson works in oil painting and pen and ink drawings. Henderson received her BFA in Painting and Art History from Massachusetts College of Art in 1993.
