Art In The Park

Art in the Park Wanaka will preempt the biennial Festival of Colour Wanaka. AIP is held in the park-like setting of Minaret Lodge. Since 2001 this event has attracted established and budding artists from Central Otago, the Southern Lakes and further afield. This year’s Artist in Residence is the talented Neal Palmer who will be in Wanaka for two weeks creating some works. Art in the Park (AIP) combines art and music, wine & food for the day, celebrating the onset of autumn. 2013 Art in the Park is going to be a ‘Latin Fiesta’.

There will be Argentine style barbecue (‘Asado’), Empanadas and some Churros. As well as some excellent local wines, the delicious Carmenere and Malbec from Chile and Argentina will be supplied to compliment the magnificent food. The music will consist of samba, Latin guitar, classical, jazz and hopefully some Peruvian flute!
