lutha Lions Club
The Wanaka - Upper C The Wanaka- Upper Clutha Lions Club would like to thank the community for all the help and support our club has received this year. Without your contributions, our goals would be much harder to achieve.
Each year we support charities regionally and nationally. National charities include Blood Bank, Daffodil Day, Alzheimers, Multiple Sclerosis, Clean up NZ and Camp Quality. We are proud to advise that in the last financial year $12,000.00 was raised and distributed to the Wanaka community in the form of grants and contributions. Local charities such as Kahu
Youth, Central Otago Forest & Bird Society and Community Networks have been supported.

We were delighted to contribute towards the welcome signs for Wanaka and to install the family BBQ area at Bremner Bay. It is from the Bremner Bay site that we will be launching our Walk for Hospice project on the 19th October. This project is a new initiative in which we challenge everyone to have fun, get fit and help the Upper Clutha Hospice Trust become established. Our hope is that the Walk for Hospice will become a regular event in the Wanaka calendar. Details can be found in the Messenger.
