Life at Webb Nestled at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains just minutes away from the Claremont Colleges, our 70-acre campus is a safe and inspiring environment for students to make new friends, challenge themselves academically, and explore their passions. Summer program students experience all that boarding school life has to offer. They live in our dormitories under the supervision of experienced faculty and residential staff and have full reign of our beautiful campus. Afternoon and evening activities compliment the programs’ learning goals and engage students in a wide variety of sports, games and outings. From field trips to Southern California’s best tourist attractions to impromptu movies in Claremont Village, from swimming in our state-of-the-art aquatics center to hiking in the foothills behind campus, from gathering around fire pits in front of the dorm to enjoying our healthy, delicious dining hall food, students truly make Webb their summer home.

The Webb Schools Founded in 1922 in Claremont, California, The Webb Schools is a prestigious college-preparatory day and boarding high school with nearly a 100-year tradition of academic excellence and leadership development. 100% of Webb graduates are admitted into the most selective 4-year colleges and universities across the country and around the world. The top 15 colleges chosen by Webb graduates include Harvard, Stanford, Cornell, UC Berkeley, UCLA, USC, Wellesley, Northwestern, Carnegie Mellon, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, New York University and others.

Our Junior Paleontology program immerses students in the world of the research scientist as they learn the latest methods and technologies for reconstructing our prehistoric world. The Raymond M. Alf Museum of Paleontology at The Webb Schools is a one-of-a-kind science research institution: a nationally-accredited museum housed on the school campus. With a collection of over 150,000 specimens, including rare discoveries spanning 500 million years of global history, the Museum is a perfect site for students to dig into science and explore the fossil record.
What does it mean to be a leader? What are the key skills that a leader must have? What are different ways that a leader can serve? How can I bring new skills, connections and personal goals back to my school? These are some of the questions that we will ask and answer during this immersive leadership program. Through a series of interdisciplinary, experiential days, students will explore the many aspects of leadership, cultivating their own skills and setting goals for the future.

Learn alongside world-renowned paleontologists through hands-on work with real fossils in the Alf Museum’s state-of-the-art research and fossil prep labs.

Explore the Page Museum, La Brea Tar Pits, and Los Angeles Natural History Museum.
•
Travel through the cosmos at Webb’s own Hefner Observatory, housing a Celestron-14 telescope.
•
Live and study with enthusiastic students in this highly selective program, limited to 20 students per session.
•
Create 3-D scans of fossils, then print one to take home with you.

Sharpen your communication skills through speaking, writing and debate workshops.
Digital Arts Students in our Digital Arts program will have the opportunity to make, create and explore at the intersection of art, media and technology. From graphic design to coding and photography, 3-D printing to animatronics, the topics covered will allow students the chance to cultivate their current artistic interests and discover new passions along the way.
