Horse riding available in your local area! Located in Woodend Beach!

Horse riding is a super fun activity for all ages and levels and we have something to cater for everything.

We have afterschool pony group lessons, these run for 1 hour which includes 15mins horse care and 45mins riding. Lessons include riding in an arena, forest, games, and beach treks and jumping for more experience children. Beginners group starts at 4pm followed by intermediate group at 5pm. Lessons cost $45 or a concession of $400 and run for the term.

We also have a few home-school groups which run a couple times a week from 10am to 12pm. Which includes everything from horse care, ground work and riding. These groups cost $45 and run for the term.

We also offer one on one therapeutic riding (especially for children who struggle with anxiety and mental health issues) . This is with Henriette who is a qualified mental health worker. Starting from $60.

We also do private lessons, treks, pony parties, holiday programmes, overnight camps, pub rides – you name it and we do it!

Get in touch with us today and let’s go riding!

PEGASU RESIDENTS’ CHRISTMAS ON THE LAKE

Thank you to everyone who came along to the PRGI Pegasus Residents’ 2022 Christmas on the Lake event on Sunday 04 December.

Pegasus Lake Trial December Update

We have had an update from Katie Coluccio, WSP, who is managing the Pegasus Lake Trial. The update is best read on our website (under News) so you can see the graph etc clearly.

Prgi Partnering With Neighbourhood Support

We were so blessed with the weatherwhat a stunning day it was! We hope everyone enjoyed the event. View all the event images on our website

A big thank you to our sponsors once again - without them this event would not happen.

Please make sure you support their businesses when you can.

In the event of an emergency, your neighbours are often your first line of communication and support.

This year the PRGI will be partnering with North Canterbury Neighbourhood Support to promote the wider adoption of Neighbourhood Support within our community. More information to come.

Dogs In Pegasus

Just a gentle reminder to please adhere to the Waimakariri Dog Control Bylaws and Dog Control Act to ensure both people, dogs and wildlife are kept safe in our community.

Waimakariri District Council and Tūhaitara Coastal Park have signs with clear instructions (see examples below), that are visible in key areas such as the lake, wetlands, beach, trails, retail areas, public parks, and sports fields. For example, at the lake, wetlands,

Facebook: Pegasus Residents’ Group Inc and retail areas, it is mandatory that dogs are to be on leads at all times.

Pegasus Community Watch Patrol Update

The PRGI Community Watch Patrol urgently need more volunteers as many of our long-standing members are retiring after years of loyal service.

Please make yourself familiar with this information and be respectful of others, keeping in mind that not everyone is a dog lover or feels safe around dogs, espec ially if they are not on a lead in areas they should be.

Please also remember to pick up your dog’s poo when out walking.

Let’s make sure everyone (including our wildlife) feels safe and happy when enjoying our shared community spaces!

Pegasus Community Centreemergency Hub

The PRGI team will undertake training early this year to enable the Pegasus Community Centre to be used as a Community Emergency Hub in times of emergency. We will keep you up to date on this.

Website: pegasusresidentsgroup.com

Unfortunately, we may need to reduce the service or discontinue it this year if we do not get more support through volunteers from our community.

There are thousands of people living in our Pegasus community and we really need more to put up their hands to help.
