Category Questions Management Role As Vice-President and Commercial General Manager for Ireland, Aisling Keegan is responsible for driving Dell EMC’s commercial and enterprise business on the island of Ireland to ensure that the company is strongly positioned to lead and help customers accelerate digital transformation with the provision of end-to-end IT solutions. In addition to managing the continued growth and expansion of the business, Aisling Keegan provides strategic leadership and direction for our over 5,000 team members working in global and regional teams based at Dell EMC sites across Ireland in Cork, Limerick and Dublin – ranging from manufacturing, to solutions, EMEA IoT lab and our Dell Bank. Before taking up her current role in early 2017, Aisling had been the Chie f Integration officer for Dell EMC UKI from the legacy Dell Side as the two companies came together. Aisling Keegan has personally taken up a leadership role on digital transformation to assist Irish organisations in the public and private sector in their journey of technological innovation. This is a period of enormous technological change and Aisling believes strongly that Dell EMC has strong capabilities in areas such as hybrid cloud, data analytics and cybersecurity to help these organisations to grow and thrive. Since she joined the company in 1999, and over the past 17 years, Aisling Keegan held a variety of senior management roles across the small, medium and large enterprise customer segments serving as executive director and general manager, Private Large Commercial Business, Dell UK. In this role, she inspired the organisation to deliver innovative and practical technology solutions to the midmarket and large institutions across the UK. During her tenure, Aisling oversaw unprecedented share gain whilst skilfully managing a number of Go-To-Market transitions. EMC Ireland and have directly led to the successes she has achieved in 2017. Aisling has successfully brought together the numerous teams formerly of Dell and EMC under a shared vision to strengthen digital transformation in Ireland. In addition to her commercial role Aisling was the Chief Integration office for this internal process for the UK and Ireland. By providing people with a common strategic goal that encompasses all the various strands of our diverse business, Aisling ensured a fundamental change of mindset that has ensured excellent customer coverage and experience. Everyone within the company now has a clear scope of work and a defined pathway to succeed. This has led to the development of a strong team spirit, with diverse teams across our sites working together with a shared sense of purpose. Her focus on providing strategic leadership has also been accompanied by a long-held passion for fostering female entrepreneurship. In particular, Aisling has placed significant value in the power of networking and facilitating the exchange of ideas with other female entrepreneurs as a means of empowerment. Over the course of recent months, Aisling has strengthened and amplified the company’s approach to nurturing women’s entrepreneurship. Through a partnership with GirlCrew, Dell EMC has established the Supper Club, a series of regular meetings bringing female entrepreneurs at similar stages on their start-up journey together around a table to exchange advice and to share ideas and strategies for success. Having benefitted from an engaged, supportive and energised environment that supports diversity, Aisling has shown a determination to raise the profile of other female leaders in Ireland and ultimately ensure they succeed. Indeed, her personal interest and professional thoughtleadership on the issue has resulted in three successful Irish female entrepreneurs being invited to attend the prestigious Dell’s global Women’s Entrepreneur Network – the first time that any entrepreneurs from the island of Ireland have taken part in the event. Corporate Performance Aisling Keegan has played a key role in driving revenue growth at Dell EMC following the bringing together of the two companies over a year ago. Through her strong vision for digital transformation, Aisling has helped to reinforce a start-up feel and innovative capacity within the company that has proven instrumental in Dell EMC’s success in Ireland. In taking up her current role, Aisling had faced a significant challenge in developing a digital transformation vision for our customers that provides them not only with the confidence and ambition to harness the opportunities that this period of transition brings about, but also ensure they reap the financial rewards. Using her experience in successfully bringing Dell and EMC together as one team in Ireland, Aisling has been able to forge a positive vision for change centred on three key pillars: IT transformation, workforce transformation and security transformation. By becoming Dell EMC Ireland’s digital transformation spokesperson, she has been able to provide a holistic overview of the cutting-edge products and services from across the company that can assist customers navigate this period of transition. By fully embracing everything that digital transformation offers entrepreneurs can quickly become sectoral leaders – leaving traditional businesses trying to catch up. While an ever-increasing number of our customers have now joined Dell EMC’s digital transformation journey and now appreciate the opportunities it affords, Aisling continues to bring the digital transformation story to small and medium sized businesses in particular who fear they do not have the capacity or resources to adapt to this new digital world. Community Service Aisling Keegan has developed a strong ambition for Dell EMC to leave a ‘Legacy for Good’ in Ireland by committing to put the company’s technology and expertise to work where they can do the most good for people within the community. As part of this personal commitment, Aisling has helped to forge a three-year strategic partnership with Barnardos, the children’s charity. This is a key aspect of her vision to leave a ‘Legacy for Good’ and commitment to put Dell EMC’s technology and expertise to work where they can do the most good for people within the community. The partnership, which involves the provision of financial support as well as the sharing of employee expertise, skills and the volunteering of time, is designed to support the good work and continued vision of Barnardos. Since announcing the partnership in April of this year, the team of Dell EMC employees from all the company’s sites in Dublin, Cork and Limerick have come together to generate awareness and raise funds for Barnardos. Through the contribution of the Dell EMC team, Barnardos has been able to multiply the success of the charity’s National Collection Day on the 15th September. With the partnership with Dell EMC, Barnardos has seen an over 50% increase in the funds collected for this year’s campaign, a near 80% increase in the number of collection points around the country, and an almost 90% increase in the number of volunteers supporting the campaign. Aisling firmly believes that the partnership is a key means to address the digital divide that exists in Irish society. Barnardos has a network of well-established homework clubs and friendship clubs throughout the country. Working with Dell EMC, Barnardos are introducing a number of CodeWork Clubs to develop technical literacy and bringing coding skills to children who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to learn what is increasingly becoming a core life skill.
