Africa and primarily generates revenues in these countries by helping these businesses promote their products and services with targeted, relevant, and cost-effective online advertising. Liz works closely with both the Head of Google in Ireland to develop the strategic direction and future growth of the company in Ireland and Google’s CFO as it relates to finance, investment and tax planning. She is a member of a small, central subgroup of the Irish leadership team responsible for leading the Site. She leads a team responsible for site business development where she has played a key role in supporting Ireland’s growth - developing the business case to secure new mandates for the Ireland site. New mandates secured include: Google’s EMEA AppHub which helps companies in the Apps marketplace a new team to support Google Cloud is one of Alphabet’s (Google’s parent) fastest growing businesses. Dublin will now be a hub to grow the Cloud business in EMEA which is a significant win for the site and will add hundreds of new jobs to the operations here in Dublin. In her core Finance role, Liz is a senior member of Google’s global Finance team, with a focus on finance, tax and compliance. In addition to her role in Google in Ireland, Liz leads that work for the finance and tax teams in Europe Middle East and Africa, providing strategic advice to Google Vice Presidents in Ireland, EMEA and Mountain View. With operations in over 50 countries worldwide, Liz is a highly valued colleague internally who is respected for her insight and guidance on key requirements to succeed in each country. Vision and Leadership Liz is one of the strongest leaders within Google in Ireland and within the global finance team. She demonstrates all of the attributes of a great leader – vision, enthusiasm, clarity, confidence and empathy. Liz plays an important role as a Finance leader in EMEA. The regional team has 200+ employees across a number of offices and Liz is instrumental in creating a sense of one team across the varied roles and responsibilities - unifying them with inspirational communications and crossfunctional gatherings. Her vision is for a diverse site where all employees are comfortable in bringing their authentic self to work. Having forged a career in traditionally male dominated industry, Liz is very focused on providing defined supports and pathways to help women progress in their chosen careers. She is Executive Sponsor for Google Ireland’s Women@ group, one of Google’s most active employee resource groups, hosting summits, providing development courses and offering mentorship to develop and support women in Google. She is also part of a project focused on the role men can play in empowering women in the workplace. This new initiative recognises that male leaders in the business have a responsibility to gender equality in the workplace. It is being piloted in Dublin and again aims to ensure diversity across operations and that Google Dublin is a workplace where gender is not a barrier. Liz is a mentor to emerging leaders across Google Ireland – not just within the finance team. She is astute at spotting talent and is very unselfish in investing her own time to encourage talent (both male and female) to help them progress in their careers. Liz was executive sponsor for the ELIZABETH (LIZ) CUNNINGHAM

Power Mentoring Programme which was set up in Google Ireland ~5 years ago. This programme created a mentoring ecosystem amongst females - building groups of female Googlers who were mentored by a more senior female Googler, who was in turn part of a group mentored by another more senior female Googler - essentially a pyramid structure of mentoring groups. This initiative was so successful it was emulated in other sites. Corporate Performance Revenues at Google Ireland increased increased €3.7 billion to €26.3 billion in 2016 (2015: €22.6 billion) while over 267 new jobs were created during the year. In 2016, Google officially opened its second data centre in Ireland representing an investment of €150 million and most recently has added 51,000 sq.ft of additional office space in Dublin for its new Cloud operations, one of the fastest growing businesses in the Alphabet group. Liz’s contribution to this performance should not be underestimated. Her contribution to the overall financial management of Google Ireland, Google’s EMEA Headquarters is substantial. The size of Google’s business is such that financial reporting structures are complex and with 70 different tax treaties between Ireland and the rest of the world, and new guidance emerging daily from the OECD, EU and other regulatory bodies - Liz’s financial knowledge and expertise is essential to Google’s day to day operations. Added to this is her role in putting forward the business case for new investment into Ireland; Google has continuously invested in its operations here – steadily increasing that investment in the eight years Liz has worked with the company. Liz’s contribution to guiding and advising senior business leaders within EMEA has led to responsible, ethical and commercial business decisions being made over the years. Liz is their trusted advisor, with a strong influence built up over years of credible leadership. Finally, Google’s success is its people, who come from over 60 different countries to work in Dublin. Creating an open and embracing culture where so many different nationalities work together towards a common goal is a huge achievement where Liz has played an active role (see below). Enabling employees to “bring their whole selves to work” has a direct impact on employee engagement and business delivery. Community Service Liz was responsible for designing and implementing the inaugural Compass Leadership Summit held in Dublin in September 2017 which was aimed at current and future leaders from organisations across Ireland. The invitation to senior external female leaders allowed them to nominate and invite a junior emerging female leader in their organisation to attend and be inspired. She secured the attendance of Ruth Porat, CFO of Alphabet and Eileen Naughton, Global VP of HR to attend and speak at the Summit. The sharing of experiences by the speakers and by the 300 women present was a hugely empowering experience with learnings for all those present. Such was its success that other Google sites are looking to replicate the Compass Leadership initiative. Liz was instrumental in helping Google secure funding to invest in the community when we celebrated our 10th birthday in Ireland. Liz was one of the few but critical advisors that helped the site secure a fund of €1.5 million to invest in STEM ( science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education in Ireland. As a result of this investment we were able to partner with ELIZABETH (LIZ) CUNNINGHAM

Liz is engaged in external diversity groups such as the Connecting Women in Technology (CWIT) network and, together with Google’s site lead, is a supporter of the 30% Club. Liz is also an active guest speaker with the Tax Institute of Ireland, Chartered Accountants bodies and various external conferences. She is passionate about giving back and being a role model for other female leaders - and is open and authentic in her story of her personal journey.
