_________________________________________________________________________ PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for overseeing the development and promotion of TJG digital and traditional marketing initiatives to support sales and brand awareness across all markets in Canada and Internationally. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and strategy including the overall vision for the Marketing team. _____________________________________________________________________________ KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Utilize marketing skills to create and execute strategies that will serve internal and external stakeholders including developing annual Marketing plan. 2. Oversee TJG (WXN and CBDC) brand values from design to positioning to content to execution. 3. Manage media relationships to support advertising and public relations, including the timely execution of advertising development and traffic to Irish Independent and Sunday Independent, Postmedia Network Inc. 4. Support creation of all marketing collateral: evites, program materials, press releases, newsletters, advertising. 5. Set strategy and manage all social media channels in all of our markets. 6. Manage weekly evites meeting requirements of all brand functions: Breakfast Series, Cocktail Series, WXN Wisdom, Top 100, CBDC, GOB, ARC, Diversity 50, etc. 7. Develop and track metrics and criteria for successful marketing programs and activities. 8. Manage and enhance the member experience and support and develop our online member community. 9. Brand management of the WXN and CBDC websites, including web development process. 10. Oversight of current websites (WXN, Top 100 and CBDC) look, feel and content management – includes CMS, micro-site development and maintenance. 11. Responsible for quality management of the database and implementing CRM initiatives – knowledge of member based organization and CRM principles an asset. 12. Execute video production for Top 25, Top 100 and regionals, and various marketing videos as requested. 13. Maintain a library/catalogue of all marketing, digital and video assets for archival/reference purposes. 14. Manage the Coordinator, Database & CRM role and the Coordinator, Marketing role. 15. Other duties as assigned. _________________________________________________________________ POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education / Experience: A university degree in a related field or equivalent combination of post secondary education

and work experience; and, Minimum 5-8 years of experience in marketing, public relations, program development or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies In-depth knowledge of advertising and design (print, online, and social media platforms); Experience with interactive media planning and marketing; Good understanding of web-based technology, e-commerce and software and content management systems; Email marketing experience; Superior writing and editing skills; Experience in project management principles and practices; Keen understanding of customer engagement strategies; Superb interpersonal skills; Experience managing a team: Experience with managing CRM databases; Ability to manage an online community through various social media channels; and, Bilingualism is preferred but not mandatory. Technical Expertise Graphic design experience including Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design; Experience with HTML coding tools such as Dreamweaver; Experience with WordPress; Email campaign tools like Benchmark Email or Constant Contact; and, Degree in marketing, public relations or new media.
