PUMPING FUNDAMENTALS INTENDED AUDIENCE Those Individuals with a general engineering or commercial background will gain an understanding of the principles associated with the pumping of liquids. This course should be taken by anyone who works within the industry who is looking for a good grounding and understanding of the basic principles of Pump technology. For those new to the industry and would like a preliminary course, we recommend taking the e-Learning “Introduction to Pumping Technology” first.
COURSE DESCRIPTION The initial part of the course is aimed at establishing an understanding of the fundamentals of pumps, how they work, their performance characteristics and the influence of key design parameters and liquid properties on pump behaviour. The second part of the course is intended to build upon the fundamentals of pumps and pump performance and establish an understanding of pump operating conditions. AFTER THE COURSE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO: Understand and gain a knowledge of hydraulic performance and the actions of pumps and their operating
