Doraemon: Nobita’s Dinosaur (2006) Director: Fujiko F. Fujio Runtime: 107min Doraemon Nobita’s Dinosaur 2006 is an anime about a friendship between Nobita and a dinosaur. It stars Nobita and a dinosaur called Pesuke. This movie is an adventure. Nobita finds an egg and he makes it grow using one of Doraemon’s tools. Then,Nobita decides to return the dinosaur to the Cretaceous period with Doraemon and his other friends. The movie was first release in 1980 and impressed a lot of people, so in 2006 they released a remake. Surprisingly, in 2020 they’re going to make yet another Doraemon: Nobita’s new Dinosaur. I can’t keep my eyes away from the information. I first saw it at a movie theater with some friends and my parents. This is the first movie that made me cry. My favorite scene was when Nobita says goodbye to Pesuke. I think that this scene is very sad because he always be by Nobita’s side. Most people cry when they watch it. In conclusion, this movie brings friendships and farewells together. I think it is one of the most impressive anime movies. If you like great friendships and want to be impressed, you should watch this!! You should really watch it. Check it out!! It’s so great!!

Thermae Romae (2012) Director: Hideki Takeuchi Runtime: 108minutes This story is about Lucius from Roman times. Lucius is a bath design engineer who lost his job due to his ideas. He slips back in time in the bath room, in a modern Japanese public bath. He was surprised to see a sight that had never been seen before. He brings this idea back to ancient Rome and recreates it. Lucius gains a reputation among the people of ancient Rome. But his reputation is greatly related to the fate of ancient Rome. The first time i saw it was on the TV three years ago. It’s a very old movie. I like this actor; he is very cool. I was impressed when i saw this movie for the first time. This story is very fast paced, and i never get tired of watching it. The most interesting scene is the expression of the hero after a time slip. I can’t stand his exquisite face. The actor has such a good expression. I think he’s the best actor; his name is Abe Hiroyuki. His expressions are very clear. Many people like his face. I’ll say it again, he is a really good actor, so please check it out. And please let me know what you thought of the movie.

Spirited Away (2001) Director: Miyazaki Hayao Runtime: 125min Spirited Away is an anime about a mysterious world where gods gather. It stars Chihiro, who is a human girl. At first, to explain this movie simply, she wonders into a mysterious world of gods and meets Haku, who is a god at that time. In summary, this movie tells a story of a young girl who grows up after meeting the gods. It was awarded many kinds of awards. Also, it was released all over the world. That’s because there are many people who like it, not only in Japan but also abroad. I first saw this movie in 2003 with my parents. I’ve watched it so many times since. I never get tired of it, even after watching it so many times. My favorite scene is the one when Chihiro meets Yubaba, the manager of the bath house, Aburaya. Chihiro gets a new name, “Sen” from Yubaba at that time. I like the ambiance of her room, and I was fascinated by it when I watched it for the first time. Personally, I like it because the movie’s world is very beautiful, and I wished I could be there. Also, its characters are unique and interesting. I love the characters, especially Kaonashi. What character do you like? I want to know everyone’s thoughts. Finally, it’s exciting and touching! So, I recommend it to you. I would like you to know how enjoyable it is. You should really watch this movie, so check it out.

Stand by Me Doraemon (2014) Director: Fujiko F. Fujio Runtime: 95minutes Stand By Me Doraemon is a movie about Nobita, who can’t do anything alone and Doraemon, who is a robot in the shape of a cat. It is one of the most popular movies in Japan. Doraemon came from the 22nd Century to the 21st Century to change the Nobita’s terrible future to a happy one, so they begin to live together. Nobita uses Doraemon’s tools and gradually changes the future to a happy one. I first saw it in the theater five years ago with my friends when I was a Junior High School student. My favorite scene was where Nobita and Jaian, who is that strongest in the classroom, fight in the park. Doraemon had to return to the 22nd Century because he completed his task of making Nobita happy. Then Nobita confronts Jaian by himself so that Doraemon could return to the 22century without feeling anxious. He proved clealy that he could live without Doraemon. I was moved Nobita’s perform to put Doraemon at ease. Personally, I like the theme song Himawari-no-yakusoku too, which was sung by Hata Motohiro. This song is sung by everyone in japan. I really recommend it too. Everyone was moved by Nobita and Doraemon’s friendship, so I recommend the movie. Please check it out!!
Fukuda, Ayari My name is Ayari Fukuda. I’m a second student at Osaka University of Pharmaceutial Sciences. I’m 20 years old. My hobby is watching youtube on my smartphone before going to bed. My favorite character is Duffy. Recently, I’ve been wanting to go to Disneyland in California.

The Sixth Sense (1999) Director: M.Night Shyamalan Runtime: 107min The Sixth Sense is a movie about a boy who can see and talk to ghosts, and a child psychologist who tries to help him. It stars Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment. It is a family drama and also thriller too. There are several ghosts in the movie and the music and depiction are very scary. However, as the story progresses, you get the feeling that it’s not just a horror movie. I first saw it on TV about 10 years ago. It’s an old movie. I like it because there’s very surprising ending. At the beginning of the movie, the message from Bruce Willis is “never tell what happens to someone who hasn’t seen the movie yet.” I remember that feeling of shock and watched the ending again with my family. I promise that while watching the movie you won’t notice, even though you know that there is a secret in the movie. Another good point is the acting by Haley Joel Osment who was only 11 years old at the time. He was so emotional. I feel that he has great acting talent. Everyone who sees the movie will love him. And the shooting method is very elaborate. Many small ingenuities were made so that the secret of the movie is not revealed. I recommend it, so check it out! You should really watch it!
Horiguchi, Kenya I like movies, so I watch movies three times a week.

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) Director: Marc Webb Runtime: 136min There have been three series of Spiderman up till now. The first SpiderMan series was released in 2002; the second was the Amazing SpiderMan series, which was released since 2012. The third series is Spider-Man: Homecoming, which was released in 2017, and the new Spider-Man: Far From Home, which was released this summer (2019). I recommend the Amazing Spider-Man episode 1, because I wanted to watch this movie again after I watched Spider-Man: Far From Home, this summer. I watched this on Amazon Prime Video. This movie stars Andrew Garfield, and the role of the heroine is played by Emma Stone. Both are great actors. In the movie, Peter Parker is bitten by a genetically modified spider and acquires various special abilities to become the Spider-Man. On the other hand, Dr. Connors uses an unfinished medicine on himself, and his body becomes a giant lizard, and he rampages in the city. Spider-Man fights and saves him. This movie’s featured scene is where Spider-Man searches for Dr. Connors, who has changed into a giant lizard. This scene is very exciting. There are also other exciting scenes. In the last scene, Spider-Man climbs a steel tower on the high building and spreads the antidote for the dangerous medicine around the city. This scene is very exciting too.
Igarashi, Shun My name is Shun Igarashi. I’m from Toyonaka Osaka prefecture. This profile picture was taken in summer on the beach of Ishigaki Island.

Liar Game: The Final Stage (2010) Director: Hiroaki Matsuyama Runtime: 133min Liar Game: The Final Stage is a movie about 11 players exchanging money to help each other. It stars Shota Matsuda and Erika Toda. It’s a movie about jealousy; the synopsis is that if everyone votes for the true red apple then everyone will get 100 million yen but if just one person betrays the others, they will lose 100 million yen. Through this game we can see human foolishness and honesty. I first saw it on TV about eight years ago. Then it impressed me very much. I like it because this movie is very deep and the tricks are very interesting and exciting. I have watched this movie more than five times so far. The most interesting part is where Akiyama kisses Nao but he borrows lip cream from Nao. That action was a key move in the game. Also, the traitor does not vote for the true red apple, but votes for the true red apple! Why? This karakuri (trick) is very smart! The reason he borrowed the lip cream from Nao becomes very clear!
Iio, Yurika Hello! my name is Yurika. I’m from Ehime. I love Disney, Conan, badminton, music and sleeping very much. Nice to meet you.
This movie is very interesting! If you are interested, you should watch this movie. In addition, Liar Game is not only a movie but also a TV drama, and they’re very exciting too! I would recommend them, so check them out!

Your Name (2016) (Japanese: Kimi no na wa) Director: Makoto Shinkai Runtime: 107min Your Name is a movie about people changing. The catch phrase is “looking for someone you have not met yet.” The voice actor of the hero is Ryunosuke Kamiki. In the movie, Mitsuha, a high school girl living in a country town, and Taki, a high school boy living in Tokyo, swap bodies. The trigger for the change is sleep memory, and they lose the change little by little. On the day a comet falls to earth, their replacement no longer occurs. Taki can’t get in touch with Mitsuha, and he looks for this girl he has not met yet. I first saw it in the cinema about three years ago. I also saw it three times on TV. I like it because I like the music used in the movie. All the music used in movie is made by Radwimps. Radwimps are my favorite band. My favorite scene is the scene where a song called Sparkle plays. It is the scene where Taki confesses to Mitsuha. It is a very sad scene, because Taki and Mitsuha forget each other’s names even though Taki confesses to Mitsuha. Some people say Kimi no na wa is difficult to understand, but it’s really exciting. I like the scene where Taki and Mitsuha change bodies. Because the story is difficult, I recommend you watch it several times. You should really watch it. Check it out!
Inoue, Daisuke This is the rabbit I used to have. With Duffy. It’s name is Sora; so cute!

Spirited Away (2001) Director: Hayao Miyazaki Runtime: 125 min Spirited Away is an animated movie about a girl named Chihiro who is 10 years old. She is not independent. In the middle of moving house, her and her parents stray into a hot spring resort that is supposed to be a healing place for Gods. Because her parents break the rules of the resort, they are changed into pigs. She works under Yubaba, an avaricious witch, to return her parents to their original form. Chihiro also grows as a person through the various things she experiences while at work. I first saw Spirited Away about 10 years ago with my friends on a bus. My favorite scene was the one where Chihiro runs with Haku back to the ordinary world with her parents. Personally, I like it because when I was an elementary school student I often went to camp and watched this movie on the bus on the way home from there every time. Also, the movie is not perfect and some questions remain unanswered, even if you watch it many times. So I want to see it over and over. This movie is touching and beautiful, so I recommend it. You should really watch it once. Please check it out!
Inoue, Maaya My name is Inoue Maaya. I am a second year student at Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I like playing tennis and Peanuts’ characters.

Kingsman (2014) Director: Mathew Vaughn Runtime: 129minutes My most favorite movie is Kingsman. It’s a spy movie, but not just any spy movie. This movie respects previous spy movies like 007, but show us innovative action scenes and visuals and makes it more exciting thanks to some breakthrough ideas. In this movie, the hero Eggsy, who is from the Marine Corps and lives a terrible life, was arrested for brawling, and a spy organization called the Kingsman bail him out. He joins their group, and confronts a huge conspiracy. The spy organization Kingsman looks like a luxury tailer at a glance, but behind the scenes they tackle the various problems of the world. This movie’s important point is the action scenes. If you heard about them, you may imagine them to be gross and bloody. However, that image is wiped away when you see the action scenes. My most favorite scene is where the other hero, Harry (played by Colin Firth), kills all of the people in a church. It looks as if Harry was dancing, not killing people, due to the uptempo songs. Scenes like that make us look at this movie in a humorous way through the use of various songs. In addition, the weapons are very particular. The weapons that appear in the movie are real, and can be dismantled instantly, customized for Kingsman members. I really recommend this movie.
Isaka, Ryosuke Hi, my name’s Ryosuke Isaka. I like movies, so much. My profile picure is my pet rabbit. His name is Riku.

The Garden of Words (2013) Director: Makoto Shinkai Runtime: 46min You may have heard the name of the film director Makoto Shinkai once before. Currently, Your Name and Weathering With You are anime movies that everyone knows. It goes without saying that the director who worked on these movies is Makoto Shinkai, but there are few people who say that the Garden of Words is one of Makoto Shinkai’s movies. It’s also a very good movie however, so if you like Makoto Shinkai’s movies, you should watch it. I first saw this movie when I was in high school. It was a hot summer day. I was encouraged by my friend and watched it. I was so fascinated by the movie however, that I regretted not having seen it. In the end, I was impressed by the beauty of this movie depiction. It is a rainy day story of a boy who wants to be a shoemaker and a woman who has a conflict as a teacher. I was moved by a love story that had neither a happy ending nor a bad ending. I sympathized with the love story that wasn’t working well in daily life. If you feel depressed on a rainy day then you should watch this movie on that day. The rain that falls in front of you will start to look beautiful.
Ishida, Yu My name is Yuu Ishida. I am a second year student at Osaka Pharmaceutical University. By the way, my profile picture is me when I was in junior high school. I was playing baseball at this time. Recently, I’m depressed because I cut my hair too much. I hope you have a good haircut.

My Intern (2015) Director: Nancy Jane Meyers Runtime: 121min My Intern is the story of Ben, a 70 year old man who wants to try something new. By chance, he finds an advertisement for a clothing company and decides to work as an intern. Ben is recognized for his wealth of knowledge, experience points and appropriate judgment. He supports Jules, who is the president of the company. It stars Ann Hathaway and Robert De Niro. Both of actors play very perfect roles. In particular, Robert De Niro role is quite rare, but his acting is very nice. I first saw it on TV at home last year. I like it because I felt touched after seeing the movie. I don’t see foreign films often, but I thought it was a very wonderful movie. The scene where Ben encourages Jules with a gentle heart is my favorite scene. Also, watching Jules working very hard is cool; I admire and respect her working style. Ben is very gentle man. I want to meet a man like him one day. I see this movie when I am not feeling well, and it makes me feel cheerful and encourages me. This movie is easy to see for a first time foreign film. I recommend it to people who don’t like foreign films so much. It’s a heartwarming movie I would recommend, so check it out!
Kakimoto, Haruka My name is Haruka Kakimoto. I’m a second-year student at Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I belong to the track & field club. I Want to Eat Your Pancreas (2018) Director: Sho Tsujikawa Runtime: 145min I Want to Eat Your Pancreas is a movie from the novel by Yoru Sumino. Let me tell you about the story. The main character Boku, accidentally picks up a book called ‘Face Illnesses’ at the hospital. It’s a secret diary written by Sakura Yamaichi, Boku’s classmate. She writes that her life is ending because of her sickness. Boku is the only person aside from her family who knows about her sickness. But learning about what she wants to do before she dies, they both fall for each other. And they gradually grow as they get along. Boku becomes a person who gets to know and learns to love others. When she hears this, they fall in love. Without a single complain, she was stabbed by a bad person and dies on the day she is release from the hospital for four weeks. I cried at the end of this movie. I felt that her destiny was cruel. Because both Boku and her accepted her sickness and each other’s personalities. In the movie, both their hardships were conveyed in detail.
Kanamori, Yuika I took this picture when I went to Singapore. This is me with the Merlion.

Maleficent (2014) Director: Robert Stromberg Runtime: 97min Maleficent is a Disney fantasy movie. It is a new story about Maleficent, who is the villain of Sleeping Beauty. It’s not the original story of Sleeping Beauty, but a parallel world. It stars Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning. Maleficent is the main character in this movie, played by Angelina Jolie. She looks amazing. Her makeup is realistic and she has two big horns. Even though Maleficent is a bad fairly, her character is very gentle. Maleficent curses Princess Aurora, who is the main character in Sleeping Beauty, because she was betrayed by Aurora’s father. But she breaks Aurora’s spell and they live happily ever after. The movie concludes with a happy ending. I first saw it in the movie theater five years ago with my friends. My favorite scene is where Maleficent kisses Princess Aurora and Aurora wakes up and smiles. There is also a scene where Angelina Jolie’s real daughter comes out. Her daughter is very cute. Personally, I like it because the video is beautiful and the music is great. But that’s not all; the story also expresses human wickedness and greed, and the action scenes are dynamic. I felt Maleficent was a brave and beautiful fairy. If you watch this movie, you will start to sympathize with her and like her. You should really watch it!
Kobayashi, Haruna My name is Kobayashi Haruna. I am a second year student at Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I like dogs, especially my dog. My profile picture is my dog, and she is very cute.

Liar Game (2010) Director: Hiroaki Matsuyama Runtime: 133min Liar Game has a story where a female college student meets a former genius swindler. Both try to play a game with other participants who are dazzled by money. In the game, lies and betrayal are mixed together, and the prize is a huge amount of money. There are many different kinds of games. I first saw it online about 9 years ago. It is an old movie, so some places have it free to download and watch. I like it because this movie is very interesting. They do things they don’t like, and they are surrounded by lies and betrayal. I was looking forward to what would happen next. This movie was interesting because the characters’ desire for money is so strong. The most interesting scene was the creation of the teams, but it’s also about the break ups within the teams. It was really good to see their thoughtout tactics. I never get tired of seeing people with different characters. Especially, the people on the side of team that win at first is very interesting.
Matsumoto, Katsuki I’m Katsuki Matsumoto. I live in Osaka. I like baseball.
It was very interesting to see the human psychology and people’s desires, so I think you will like it. Check it out.

Liar Game (2010) Director: Hiroaki Matsuyama Runtime: 131minutes Liar Game was released in 2007 on TV. After that, movies were released in 2010 and 2012. It’s about jealousy. My favorite movie is Liar Game Reborn, which was released in 2012. It stars Shota Matsuda and Mikako Tabe. Liar Game is about a game that tell lies, just like the name states. Participants cheat on each other. It’s kind of a gambe, with progressive tournaments. Those who lose the game are burdened with multitudinous debt, and on the other hand the winner can get lots of money. It’s a very dreadful game. Players need not only fortune but also wisdom, bargaining ability and so on. Those who are good at deceiving people can with the battles. I first saw it on TV about 12 years ago. 2 years later I watched the movie. I’m interested in the deep diplomacy. The interplay of lies and betrayal about all the money is very fascinating. Personally, I like it because all players respond to the influence of others at the end. The movie teaches us how beautiful it is to trust each other and how difficult it is to believe in people.
Matsunaga, Kurumi My name is Kurumi Matsunaga. I’m from Itami city in Hyogo, born and raised. I’m a cheerful person. In my free time I like watching YouTube, going shopping, going out with my friends, and that kind of stuff. Thank you.

Kamisama no Karute (2011) Director: Yoshihiro Fukagawa Runtime: 128min My favorite movie is Kamisama no Karute. It’s a medical drama. It stars Sho Sakurai and Aoi Miyazaki. Ichito is the hero in the movie. He works in a hospital as a physician. He meets a woman who has had cancer for some time. She has a stage-four cancer, so he can’t perform surgery. He starts to think what he can do for her. He writes a medical sheet, but after a short time, she dies. She had written a letter to him. He learns about her medical care from her letter. I first saw Kamisama no Karute when I was a junior high school student. I was really impressed by his deeds in the movie. My favorite scene is where he thinks deeply by himself in the twilight. The scene tells me his feelings he has for the patient. It is so beautiful and touching. The origin of the movie is a novel which was written by Sosuke Natsukawa. The writer is a physician in active service. He writes about real medical work and problems. I like his novels. You can also read the sequel to the movie.
Matsuo, Rinna I’m Rinna Matsuo. I’m a student of Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I’m into watching youtube at the moment.

Summer Wars (2009) Director: Mamoru Hosoda Runtime: 115min Summer Wars is an animation about a battle in the virtual world of the internet. In this world, people can do anything they want by using a virtual space called Oz. One day, Oz is hijacked by someone. Due to this accident, the real world falls into chaos. For example, car navigation systems break down and prank calls to 119 increase. Moreover, a satellite would fall onto the town where this movie’s hero lives. The hero is a high school student, and he is very good at math. He tries to prevent it from falling and protect the world with his math ability. I first saw it when I was about 10 years old. I was still a small child, but it was very interesting. It’s a little old, but still very exciting. I feel it’s a very modern story of the internet world. My favorite scene is the one where he saves the world. Personally, I like it because I can feel youth in the movie. In addition, we can feel a love for family, the sadness of breakups, and affection. I didn’t know movies could be packed with so many things. It is a movie that I want to see again and again in summer. I want people who have never seen it to check it out. I strongly recommend you see it!
Matsuo, Yuzuki I like sports. I belong to the table tennis club now. I play various sports such as basketball and flag football. I like most sports, but I want to be good at table tennis now.

Aladdin (2019) Director: Guy Ritchie Runtime: 128min Aladdin is a Disney movie about a love story that begins with magic. It stars Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott and Will Smith. Aladdin, who is poor, meets Princess Jasmine in the market and falls in love at the first sight. Aladdin becomes the master of and is helped by Genie (a genie in a bottle) to achieve his love. Aladdin realizes that some things are more important than magic. I first saw it in 2019 with my family. I saw it twice; once in English and once Japanese. Personally, I like it because the songs in the movie are great and the images were delicate and beautiful. The movie used different ways of singing depending on the scene; some songs were powerful and some gentle. Also, because the cast members were chosen for their singing ability, it was more impressive. The movie also used CG to express the world view. I felt as if we were in a different world. My favorite scene is the one when Aladdin and Jasmine fly together on the magic carpet. I felt as if I was flying with them. The movie Aladdin is filled with laughs and tears. It is really impressive. You should really watch it.
Mimura, Manaka My name is Manaka Mimura. I am a second-year student at Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I’m from Minoh city. It is famous for the waterfall and deepfried maple leaves. SPEC (2013) Director: Yukihiko Tsutsumi Runtime: 95min Let me tell you about the movie Spec. I love it. I’ve watched it many times, because I have an Amazon Prime account. Let me tell you a bit about the story. Spec is a story of human beings with special abilities. There are two chief characters of this story, and they are police officers. The name of the chief characters are Toma Saya and Sebumi Takeru. Toma has the SPEC special ability, but Sebumi doesn’t. In the world where they live, a lot of human beings have Spec. There are people who abuse the ability. Toma and Sebumi fight to stop them from running away. There are various kinds of Spec abilities. For example, some have the ability to wake the dead and some have the ability to move about other humans tens of thousands of times fast. When he lifts a finger, everything in the world stands still except him. His figure is very cool. I think his ability is the strongest. This is because even if an enemy has a stronger weapon, he can kill them by stopping time. But he’s not the last boss in this story. How do two chief characters fight this very strong ability? And how does the ending of this story turn out? It’s a real highlight.

Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back! (1998) Director: Hiroshi Ito Runtime: 96min Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back! is one of the most moving Pokemon movies. Mewtwo is a Pokemon made by humans based on the phantom Pokemon “Mew”. Mewtwo has a strong hatred toward humans and other Mews. There are many Pokemons copied and battles begin, including Mewtwo and Mew. I first saw it about eight years ago. My favorite scene is where Satoshi, the main character, stops the “real” and “copy” pokemon battles. Satoshi crys because they are both creatures so the battles are meaningless. But Satoshi was attacked by Mew and Mewtwo, and he becomes stone. His best friend and pokemon, Pikachu was shocked. Pikachu tries to melt the stone again and again, but Satoshi remains unchanged. Other pokemon battles gradually stop to watch Satoshi and Pikachu, and their eyes begin to fill with tears. Then suddenly, Pikachu’s tears land on Satoshi, and little by little he changes back, and finally wakes up. I was impressed with Pikachu’s willingness not to give up, even though it seemed there was no hope. And I was moved by the tears for Satoshi, who made a sacrificed for them. They didn’t want to fight anymore; they were looking for the meaning of their existence. Although this movie is an anime movie for children, I think itis very thoughtprovoking for adults. Check it out!

Code Blue (2018) Director: Masaki Nishiura Runtime: 28min Code Blue is a medical drama. It stars Tomohisa Yamashita and Yul Aragaki. This movie is very famous and popular as a TV drama, and there are a lot of seasons. The movie was released on the 27th of July, 2018. I first saw it with my little sister during the summer vacation the same year. I remember that the movie theater was crowded. A lot of my friends went to see this movie. In the story, four new flight doctors and one flight nurse get on a helicopter to help unconscious, injured and life-threatened patients. They face many difficult problems. Though the conflict, they confront and manage to get over it all. My favorite scene is where the flight doctors and nurses get on the helicopter to help patients. Maybe most people like it too; it was tense and I was really excited. I was impressed by the flight doctors and nurses when I saw it for first time. I was about to realize the importance of fate. I am a pharmacy student now, and I will be a pharmacist, and I want to help a lot of patients. I can learn a lot of things as a pharmacy student. I can study not only the importance of fate but also a lot of medical skills and knowledge. So, medical students especially should really watch this movie. Please check in out! It’s really exciting and you’ll enjoy yourself.

Detective Conan: The Last Wizard of the Century (1999) Director: Kenji Kodama Runtime: 100min Detective Conan: The Last Wizard of the Century is an animated mystery movie. This is the third work in the Detective Conan series. It stars Minami Takayama and Kappei Yamaguchi. One day, the Phantom Thief Kid sends a notice that he plans to steal the Imperial Easter Egg. He is successful in stealing it, but while he was running away someone shoots his right eye, but his monocle stops the bullet. After this incident, serial murders occur, and the story follows Conan’s reasoning. I first saw on DVD about 10 years ago. My father bought the DVD for me because this is the first movie that my favorite character, the Phantom Thief Kid, appears in. The theme song is B’z’s song One, and this perfectly matches the image of the Phantom Thief Kid. I have two favorite scenes. First one is when the Phantom Thief Kid steals the treasure. He flies freely in the sky and uses his technical magic to steal it brilliantly. This scene is so cool and winds me up! The another one is that at last Conan will be in a big trouble, but he will be saved by an unexpected way. Through this movie you can know how Kid the phantom thief noticed Conan’s top secret. This is the must-see movie if you are a fan of Kid the phantom thief, but I also recommend for mystery lovers! Please check it out!!

I want to eat your pancreas (2017) Director: Sho Tsukikawa Runtime: 115min I want to eat your pancreas is a teen film. It is story about Sakura, who has pancreatic disease and Boku (Boku means “I” in Japanese). Boku doesn’t have a name. This movie stars Hamade Minami and Kitamura Takumi. Hamade Minami plays Sakura and Kitamura Takumi plays Boku. Boku is her classmate, but he has almost never talked with her. One day, he finds her diary in the hospital and learns she is struggling with disease. So, he spends a lot of time with her afterwards. Suddenly, she was killed by a random stranger while fighting her disease hard. This movie is supprising and impressive. I first saw it about a year ago. My favorite scene was when Boku noticed a change in her voice at the other end of the phone and rushed to her in the hospital. Actually, when he rushed to her, she changed her hospital room because her condition was not good. I was surprised that he noticed the small change in her voice. The scene that the most impressed me is when Boku visited her mother, he ask “Can I cry?” while crying. He couldn’t accept her death and couldn’t go her funeral. But he visited her mother to read her diary about the struggle with disease.
Suzuki, Misaki My name is Misaki Suzuki. I’m a second year student at Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I’m interested in the development of new medicines. I also like listening to music, sleeping and baking sweets.
This movie is very impressive, so I recommend it. Please check it out!

Kamogawa Horumo (2009) Director: Katsuhide Motoki Runtime: 113 min Kamogawa Horumo is a movie about Kyoto University students who belong to a strange society called Seiryukai (青竜会). It stars Takayuki Yamada, Gaku Hamada and Chiaki Kuriyama. The original is a novel written by Manabu Makime. Seiryukai is a traditional Society with a hundredyear history. They battle with other University’s Horumo societies, such as Byakkotai (白虎隊) from Ritsumeikan University, Phoenix (フェニックス) from Ryukoku University and Genbugumi (玄武組) from Kyoto Sangyo University, by operating one hundred “Oni” (little demons). To operate them students must speak a wacky language, for example, “Geronchori.” We can see some famous places in Kyoto here and there. That is one of the reasons I love this movie. It is such a ridiculous movie, in a good way. It leaves me with an indescribable feeling, that is sort of excited and makes me smile. :) I first saw it in 2009 with my mother. As a ten-year-old girl, I got goose bumps and was sucked into it. It’s been ten years since then, but this movie never gets old. I can watch it FOREVER! Have you ever met such a nice movie before? I cannot tell you enough how amazing this movie is with this limited word count, so you SHOULD really see it! Let’s share our favorite scenes with each other!
Suzuki, Yuki Hi everyone! My name is Yuki Suzuki. I’m a second year university student studying pharmacy. I like travelling. Australia is the best place I’ve ever been to!! I also like playing the koto (Japanese harp). My favorite phrase is “no pressure, no diamonds.”

Liar Game:The final stage (2010 Director: Hiroaki Matsuyama Runtime: 133min This is a story of a female college student and former genius scammer who play a game. Other people want money and decide to play too. Everyone makes full use of their brains. It stars Shota Matsuda and Erika Toda. 12 people are suddenly invited Liar Game. The game is to cheat each other and bet real money. The betting money is 100 million yen; If you lose, you have a big debt, but if you win, you’re very rich. The complex bargaining by smart people and fall outs in the team are great to watch. I first saw Liar Game in 2012 with my family. The drama was originally a comic book. My favorite scene is the one with everyone cooperating. The female college student helps one man, and she influences the other people around her so they help him too. Personally, I like it because I can’t predict the story. I can see psychology, tricks, strategies and human desires, so it’s very exciting. This movie entertained me and it’s really exciting. Surely, you’ll enjoy it too! I think you should really watch it. Check it out.

Detective Conan: The Crimson Love Letter (2017) Director: Koubunn Sizuno Runtime: 112min The Crimson Love Letter is a drama about Conan Edogawa and Heiji Hattori who take on an incident involving hundreds of people in Osaka and Kyoto. This is the 21st work in the Detective Conan series of movies, but this was the first work set in autumn. The opening video almost inherits the production of the previous work Pure Black Nightmare and even in this work, if you look at the scene from the title to the opening video with only one eye, it looks like a 3D video. I like the fact that the background and overlay (after the toddler scene) has been renewed, and that it has a Japanese-style design with a one-hundred-headed bill and calligraphy, made to suit this work. I’m from Tottori Prefecture, the same as the original author Gosho Aoyama, so I’ve been watching manga and TV anime since I was a child. I was already a fan, but after seeing the museum in Kurayoshi, I like this story even more. The beautiful scenery and autumn leaves of Kyoto are very beautiful and I think they are perfect for this season. You should really watch it.
Takata, Riho I hope you’re well. I’m a second student from Osaka University of pharmaceutical Sciences. I’m interested in movies. I like relaxing and watching movies on my days off.

Roman Holiday (1953) Director: William Wyler Runtime: 118min Roman Holiday is a love story with Ann, a European princess, and Joe, who is American reporter in Rome. It stars Audrey Hepburn. There are some new discoveries between a princess and commoner’s love from their different values. I first saw it at home with my mother. That’s because from long ago, my mother’s most favorite movie is Roman Holiday. My mother invited me to watch it and we saw it together. I love it for everything; the story, actors, the black and white movie, and the locations! The scenes are very beautiful, even though they’re black and white. My favorite scene is where the European princess, Ann, leaves the castle and experiences a lot of things for the first time. First it was a cigarette, the scooter, and sightseeing spots in Rome. At first, Joe want to take scoop photos, but he was attracted to Ann gradually, and Ann becomes attracted Joe, too. However, Ann has to go back to the palace to fulfill her duty to her homeland and Joe promises he’ll never write about his memories with Ann. The next day, at a press conference at the palace, Ann and Joe meet as princess and reporter. Joe brings photos of their memories to Ann. When she exits the room, she says “Rome is a city I’ll never forget” with teary eyes.

My enjoyment in winter is cheering for my favorite comedians battling in the contest called the M-1 Grand Prix. My favorite food is ramen. I recommend the ramen restaurant Jouroku in Namba, Osaka. You should really go check it out!!
This movie illustrates a very beautiful and painful love. You will cry and laugh during the movie. You should really watch it! 57

Howl’s Moving Castle (2004) Director: Hayao Miyazaki Runtime: 119min Howl’s moving castle is an animation about a wizard and a girl. It stars Howl and Sophie. Sophie who works in a hat shop, is helped by Howl when she gets involved with soldiers. However, Howl is also being chased by the Witch from the Waste. One night, Sophie’s appearance was changed into an old lady by a curse from the Witch of the Waste, who came to her store. Sophie could not do anything, and left home for the time being. She helps a scarecrow called Kabu in the country, and meets Howl’s moving castle. My favorite scene is from Howl’s childhood. It is a scene where Howl swallows a shooting star and takes a heart wrapped in fire from his chest. This scene was very shocking to me. Actually, this is a little bit important to the story. I like this movie because I watch it over and over again and I like the music used in the movie. The music used in the movie is very beautiful, and the melody and lyrics move our hearts. When we watch this movie, we tend to see the romance between Howl and Sophie, but it is actually a deeper movie. In real society, people tend to think that youth is valuable. In this work however, thanks to Sophie’s curse from the Witch of the Waste, age seems to be unrelated. You can focus on their romance or concentrate on the deeper parts of the movie and enjoy it in various ways, so check it out!
Taniguchi, Yu Hi! I’m Yu. I like music and I belonged to an orchestra club. I’ve been watching Ghibli since I was little, so I wrote about this movie this time. The songs in the movie are very fascinating and I like it.

Mission Impossible: Fallout (2018) Director: Christopher McQuarrie Runtime: 148min Mission Impossible: Fallout is an action movie. It is about Ethan Hunt from the Impossible Mission Force (IMF). He succeedes in recovering three stolen plutonium, but they were stolen again by someone when he rescues his friends. He has to prevent the three plutonium from exploding. It stars Tom Cruise and Rebecca Ferguson. There are a lot of dangerous scenes and fierce battles with bad guys. I first saw it on my flight JL792 KIX-HNL in 2019/01/22. It is a very new movie, so some places like YouTube don’t have it free to download and watch. My favorite scene is the last fight scene, because Ethan Hunt takes the blast switch for the three plutonium back from the bad guys. In addition, the power of the movie (especially the fierce battles)is very interesting. Finally, Tom Cruise, the hero of Mission Impossible: Fallout, was injured during shooting, and diagnosed to be completely cured in nine months, but it only took him one and a half months. Therefore, he is a great person.
Tsujimoto, Haruki This picture is of my car, a Mercedes-Benz CLS450 4MATIC. There are so many functions like the seat cooler, seat heater and other things to make you relax in this car. It costs ÂĽ12,500,000. It is very expensive, but very comfortable.
It is a very interesting movie, and I would recommend it, so check it out!

Fast & Furious7: Sky Mission (2015) Director: James Wan Runtime: 138min Fast & Furious7: Sky Mission stars Vin Diesel, Jason Statham and Paul Walker. It’s a car action movie. There are 7 main characters, and all members seem like a family. To my surprise, the cars jump from an airplane in this movie. If you like cars, you should watch it because many cars—for example Bugatti, McLaren, Ferrari, Dodge and Lykan Hyper Sport—are used in the movie. The Lykan Hyper Sport is a rare (there are only about 7 cars in the world) and a very very expensive car (about 400 million yen). But, it jumps between building and crashed. Please don’t worry; in fact, its just a replica. The project team made 6 replicas, but each replica costs 320 million yen, totaling 1600 million yen. It’s an incredible figure. This movie is No.8 in the series (the latest was 2017). I first watched the 6th film. I became interested after this movie. Today, I watch the series again and again. If you want to watch it, you could watch it on Netflix and Prime video. I like it because I like cars and this story. The most exciting point is where the cars fly. Because, this idea is wonderful: I could never think of that. It’s a car action movie and I would recommend the whole series!!! It will be fun! So check it out!!
Uemura, Takuya My name is Takuya. I like ramen. My profile picture is my favorite ramen, which is Mitsuba in Nara. Please ask me for a ramen recommendation!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) Director: Mike Newell Runtime: 157 min The main theme of this movie is the Triwizard Tournaments. Three of the most powerful magic schools in Europe compete with each other to get the goblet, which is the prize. The first task of this tournament is to obtain a dragon egg. The second task is to save someone important people from the lake. The final task is to find a championship cup in a huge maze without losing your sight. At the end of this movie, Voldemort, the biggest enemy of the Harry Potter series, is revived. I first saw this movie five years ago. The reason I saw this movie was because I have the DVD at home. Soon after watching it, I became a fan. My most favorite scene in this movie is the scene where Hermione dresses fashionably for Christmas dance party. Emma Watson, who played the role of Hermione, was very beautiful. The Harry Potter series is world famous. It is especially popular for movies, but there are also novels. The novel is very long and famous for its volume. I have read the novels, but I like the movies more.
Watanabe, Rina My name is Rina Watanabe. I’m a second year student studying pharmacy at Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I’m from osaka city, in Osaka prefecture.
This movie is sometimes played on TV, so I want everyone to watch it. I recommend this movie and the entire series.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) Director: Juan Antonio Bayon Runtime: 128 min Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is a movie about a lot of dinosaurs left behind on an island just before a volcanic eruption. It stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. People are worried whether they should help dinosaurs or not. If they don’t help dinosaurs, they will become extinct. The story follows the relationship between humans and dinosaurs. I first saw it at the theater last year with my family. I saw it in 4DX, so it was like I was really inside the movie world. I like this movie because I was moved by the friendship between humans and dinosaurs. Normally, dinosaurs attack humans, but a velociraptor called Blue is thoughtful because he was raised by the hero, Owen. My favorite scene is where Blue protects him from the other aggressive dinosaurs. I also like the scene where Blue fawns on Owen when it was a child. Blue is very cool and cute. I like Blue! I want to raise him! In addition, Owen is very cool too: he is manly, handsome and in good shape. I like Owen too!
Yabuki, Natsu My name is Natsu Yabuki. I’m a second year student studying pharmacy at Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I’m interested in how medicine works in our bodies. I also like sleeping and listening to music, especially K-Pop.
You should really watch it. You will become a dinosaur fan after you watch it. In a few years, the sequel is going to be released. I recommend it too.

Me Before You (2016) Director: Thea Sharrock Runtime: 111min Me Before You is a love story about a young man who has been unable to move below the neck due to a traffic accident, and a woman who is entrusted with his care. It stars Sam Claflin and Emilia Clarke. The handicrapped man, Will, is suffering from the reality where he can’t move his body, and he isn’t trying to open his mind to anyone. However, his caregiver, Lew, opens her heart gradually, and the two are attracted to each other. Nevertheless, he is determined to commit suicide. I first saw this movie last spring. It was recommended by my friend, and I watched it with her on Amazon Prime video. My favorite scene is where Will and Lew go to a classical concert. In the scene, Will, all dressed up on a wheelchair is seen as a curiosity, and gets more depressed. He realizes that he can’t live like he used to before the traffic accident. Seeing him with no will to live, I couldn’t hold back my tears and I didn’t know what was right for him. In the last scene, you will know the decision he makes. This movie is not only a romance movie, but also a serious movie that makes us think about the way of life. Please check it out!

12 Angry Men (1957) Director: Sidney Lumet Runtime: 96 min 12 Angry Men is a drama about 12 jury members stuck in a courtroom on a hot summer day. It stars Henry Fonda. The 12 men have to work together to decide if a young boy is guilty or innocent of a crime. All members except one person thinks that the boys is guilty, and the story follows their discussion and arguments. I first saw it online about 10 years ago. It’s a very very old movie, so some places have it free to download and watch. I like it because I am surprised how good it is. It’s black and white, and the whole movie was shot in one room. But still, the story is exciting, the human drama is really captivating, and it’s a SURPRISINGLY great movie! The most interesting part is watching the character interactions and seeing the good and bad in the characters. It’s the only black and white movie I would recommend, so check it out!
