6699 Project: My Room (2018)

6699 is the typographical shape of quotation marks: “ and ”. This hand-made zine is a collection gathered by students in the Design Specialized English class at Kyoto University of Art and Design. The theme “My Room” was chosen by popular vote in class on Wednesday the 28th of November, 2018. Each page in this magazine contains an introduction of each student’s room, though many were quite embarassed about it. Participants took photos, wrote a short blurb, and created their own spread old-school analogue style, with scissors, tac and a premade photocopied grid. They then bound it in class. We imagine everyone cleaned their rooms fastidiously, so we hope you enjoy it.
