THE SEIKA SNAP TEAM
REFLECTIONS Our teacher, Duncan, asked us “How was it?” The English was difficult. We did not understand Illustrator. Doing path work, cutting out the objects, was hell. Especially clipping the cords on the earphones. It was hard catching people, taking pictures and thinking of ideas. We didn’t understand how to compress files. The yearend temptations and the new year holidays were a strong enemy, because there were rice cakes, the Japanese ‘kotatsu’ and oranges there. We were also afraid of the teacher coming to attack us with an AX on the deadline: FRIDAY THE 13TH. But there were also some good points. We were able to learn English that can be used in society. Making a magazine for the first time was full of discoveries. It was fun interacting with other, unique members. Every person we interviewed has some really interesting bag contents! We could also get up early as well, and it was fun being scolded by the teacher when we didn’t.
