AUSTRALIA’S FIRST PRIME MINISTERS

Be sure to catch this exhibit at Australian Parliament House before it closes at the end of the month. Featuring a set of prints of Australia’s first 16 prime ministers, created by Canberra artist Alison Alder, it pays tribute to the leaders who helped build this nation during the first half of the twentieth century. UNCHARTED TERRITORY

Canberra’s new arts and innovation festival celebrates creativity, experimentation and groundbreaking ideas. NGURA PULKA – EPIC COUNTRY

One of the largest and most significant First Nations

community-driven art projects ever developed, Ngura Pulka was conceived, created, directed and determined by Aṉangu people. Running from 8 June to 8 October, this major exhibit speaks to ideas connecting to Ngura: of love, longing, knowledge, maintenance, connection and protection of Aṉangu land. TICKETING

The MyWay smartcard ticketing system provides a convenient and easy way to travel – passengers enjoy discounted fares provided they tag on and off with their smartcard at the start and end of their journey. Transport Canberra is rolling out a light rail network to deliver a modern transport system for this growing city. The first stage, the 12km Cityto-Gungahlin corridor, is now complete and operational. Check transport.act.gov.au for details.
