Paint in the City that Inspired Millions ZBUKVIC
MCGURL
Ever hear any of these great songs? “I Left My Heart in San Francisco,” “Lights” (“When the lights go down in the city...”), “We Built This City on Rock ‘n’ Roll,” “San Francisco” (“Are you going to San Francisco? Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair...”), “Christmas in San Francisco,” “San Francisco Nights,” “Dock of the Bay”? San Francisco inspired some of the biggest hits in America — it’s so amazing, we had to go there to paint its incredible landscapes and landmarks. Wouldn’t it be nice to know you painted the Golden Gate Bridge with the the family of plein air painters and made history in the world’s largest paint-out in the amazing vineyards of Wine Country? The San Francisco Bay Area has more diverse landscapes than any other city in America. Crashing waves by the ocean just minutes from downtown. Rolling green hills and old

barns. Great redwood trees and purple mountains. And if that’s not enough, the city itself may inspire you to paint a streetcar, a trolley, Fisherman’s Wharf, the Embarcadero, Coit Tower, or Lombard Street, the world’s crookedest street. We’re not just there to paint, we’re there to grow as painters to achieve our fullest potential as quickly as possible. This year we have five stages so you can pick and choose from over 80 instructors, or flag down field painter instructors to work with you on your paintings. Though tickets are selling faster than usual, if you book now, you can still get a seat. Visit PleinAirConvention.com and register now so you can say, “Yes, I’m going to San Francisco” (but you don’t have to wear flowers in your hair — unless you want to!).
Show Your Work Convention attendees and faculty are invited to exhibit their artwork in our show and sale. Show hours are April 25th and 26th from 8am-8pm.
