Aspects to Change: 1. Solar Passive Design I would have liked to have added window shadings such as; • angled wooden slats to prevent harsher sun • eves over the second floor addition to provide shading 2. Transportation Although I have worked out how it can be transported it is not fully resolved. Things such as; • the two components would have to be separated to be moved on road • I would also want to look into trucks that transport shipping containers to see if they have the capacity to lift off the shipping container and then lift off the top floor addition directly into place, without an external crane. 3. ‘Off Grid’ The concept of the home being off grid is not entirely practice as it would mean no connections to water, gas or electricity grids/ mains, resulting in the house having to ‘carry’ everything it needs. I have not entirely covered this aspect of the brief as the water tank and gas bottles sit next to the house, connecting it to the ground.

Evaluation: Design requirements: • solar panels • water tank • fire place Specifications + limitations: The client has specified that the house needs the following rooms; • 2 bedrooms Master bedroom and the • bathroom bunk bed nook on the • kitchen/ living ground floor. • study nook • integrated laundry Restrictions: • size When split into the two • transportable sections. • price Evaluation criteria: • transportable • ability to work off grid • can be lived in The budget or costings were • environmentally friendly never looked at due to time. • cost under budget • all relevant ACPTLA plans provided • plans meet the Australian standards

Summary: Overall I am pleased with what I have achieved in the time frame. There will always be aspects to be improved upon or fixed, but the learning and skills gained throughout have helped me to develop and in turn expand my skill set. Digital Renders:
