A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDERS When we founded Threads Worldwide, we knew that
Equal Partnership would be a cornerstone of our
business model. Not only had we spent nearly 20 years of friendship dreaming of starting a business together, we’d met so many inspiring women along the way that we couldn’t wait to partner with, too. Now we get to live our dream of connecting talented, bold women across the globe. We are in the business of building alliances alongside women who are on the front lines transforming their families and their communities. We each have our roles, and each is vital, necessary, and valuable. This is as true in Tallahassee, Florida as it is in Tzununa, Guatemala and is something we can say as boldly and as honestly to a woman from California as we can to a woman from Uganda. Each person who touches the Threads ‘system’ is vital. We couldn’t provide the global marketplace that we promise our partners without Fair Trade Partners, without Artisan Partners, without Ambassadors, without customers, without staff… without DHL drivers! Many girls in Guatemala do not attend school past the elementary years, but our Artisan Partner Marla
saw the potential in her
