HEATHER BOSTON From nurse to freelance artist to art studio owner/teacher, Heather Boston finally feels she is living her passion. She is the founder of From the heART studio. In business since April 2015, she is a self-taught mixed-media artist whose donations, murals, art on canvas, and other artworks are on display in both homes and businesses throughout the U.S. Inspiration comes from her children, her students, and from clients’ stories. Heather is mother to two beautiful children, Brooklynn and Jayden.

SUMMER BOUDREAUX Taken during the Lake Charles Sesquicentennial fireworks celebration, Summer Boudreaux wanted to capture the wow factor. She composed a compilation of 116 shots taken during the finale. She’s a McNeese graduate and has been a photographer for nearly 20 years, specializing in commercial, sports, and landscape work. Traveling with her family, camera in hand, is her favorite pastime.

NICOLE SURFACE Local artist Nicole Surface is a mother to three young boys. She was born in Florida, grew up in SWLA, and has been immersed in art all her life, earning a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from McNeese. TIM DOUGET Tim Douget , aka SPYDERgraphy, took up photography during his military service in Okinawa, Japan, in 1973. While there, he taught himself how to develop film and prints in black and white.
