ASBURY BETHANY VILLAGE (MULTIPLE PROJECTS)

THW has been involved in multiple Asbury Communities, Inc. projects and has recently completed and won Gold for the 2021 EFA Remodel/Renovation Award for The Bistro for Asbury Bethany Village, Mechanicsburg, PA. The existing space in the community building needed to be re-envisioned because it was enclosed and underutilized. Since the addition of the Rife Center three years prior, this space was used primarily as a corridor. The pantry had been closed and activity was minimal. It had been partitioned off to create a gathering space for services and activities, while maintaining circulation between the two independent resident apartment buildings. “This new space is open, welcoming, and peaceful. With the greens and touches of

An urban, high-rise retirement community in Buckhead, Lenbrook is Georgia’s first and Atlanta’s only nationally accredited continuing care retirement community. Residents can enjoy the metropolitan surroundings complete with upscale shopping venues and fine dining, while having sweeping views of downtown Atlanta and Stone Mountain. Originally constructed in 1983, the 18-story building sat on a 3.5 acre site and accommodated 225 residents. After 20 years, the owner wanted to ensure the continued success of the community, thus, they acquired a 2.5 acre adjacent land parcel which allowed expansion and planning phases to begin, adding 210 units.

Lenbrook, Atlanta’s premier Life Plan Community that was launched in 1983, is planning a $100 million expansion called Kingsboro at Lenbrook with 53 new residences built to serve the needs and desires of today’s and tomorrow’s seniors. Kingsboro at Lenbrook will feature independent residences called Flats and Villas, each appointed with elegant, high-end finishes. The expansion will also incorporate elements of biophilia, ensuring the vibrancy of nature is considered in the design to enhance overall well-being using natural lighting and colors while surrounded by expansive green spaces. The new residences will be ready for occupancy in early 2022. The Flats will offer 39 residences in a five-story building with a variety of floor plans ranging from 1,600-3,000 square feet. The Villas will consist of three buildings, each with four to five residences, ranging from 2,000-3,000 square feet.
