Who’s Who!!! Name - Sharon Tarrant Position At Tic Toc —Play Leader At Fairfield Hi, I'm Sharon new Play Leader at Fairfield although I was previously play leader at Manor Field for 2 1/2 years. I work at a pre school in Burgess Hill in the mornings and am now seeing some children that I knew when they were 4, looking a lot bigger and grown up! Although Play-work is somewhat different from Early Years they are both good fun involving lots of mess and laughter. I have a teenage daughter and enjoy baking and creating novelty birthday cakes, when I have the time! During my time at Tic Toc I have met lovely staff and lots of great children! More ‘Who’s Who’ in our next newsletter.
Easter Holiday Recap What a fun packed two weeks we've had. We made beautiful music on Monday, the marshmallow sticks went down a treat, very messy and yummy. We made fantastic sculptures out of junk and the children made the cutest bunnys out of bread. On Wednesday we also got super messy as we did giant hand and feet painting in the sunshine. On Thursday Laura and the kids created a fire from scratch, the children foraged for twigs & leaves and the children cooked their own morning snack. Although Zoo Lab had to cancel, we still had lots of adventures on Friday with creating the pretty Easter baskets and the Easter egg hunt was great to watch. In the second week we started with a trip to Tilgate Park. It has had a great make over and there were so many things we hadn’t seen before. The children enjoyed the sunny weather on Wednesday and took the opportunity to play with the array of bikes, scooters and go-karts in the playground. On the last day of holiday club the kids painted their own faces in the morning and took great joy in investigating and taking apart old video players in the afternoon. As you can imagine the children can’t wait for the May holiday. Book now for the May holiday at www.TicTocPlay.com

Changes to the invoices
Reception Children Parents Thank you to those of you who managed to stop and look through your child’s E.Y.F.S (Early Years Foundation Stage) before Easter. They looked great didn’t they? Great photos and their individual progress was recorded fanatically, the staff have worked very hard on them all year round. Don’t worry if you did not get time last term, just ask the staff and they will get them out of the cupboard and go through them with you. This is a great keep sake of their time at Tic Toc Play and in July you get to take them home forever. In September we start all over again for the next generation of four to five year olds. lol
Facts about Playwork
“Thanks for looking after my James after school since he was four and a half years old. He loves attending and you all do a wonderful job” Carol Parsons
We have own professors You can work towards NVQ’s and degrees in Playwork We have our own bible -The Playwork Principles We have 16 different forms of play that we actively encourage. What Playwork is about? That’s a hard one to answer Because every play worker has a different view depending on where your Playwork setting is based and what level of qualification you are trained to but we work on the principle that in our settings are we follow the child’s lead, we uphold the value that every child’s play is more important than our own adult lead agendas of doing this the right way. We let the children explore their own thoughts and feelings, helping them to build their own set of values for life. No small task but we like to think we give a supportive environment for every child to play, explore and create wonderful memories.

As you all know, all invoices are due 14 days after the date of the invoice and we thank all of you for your prompt payment of fees.

Tic Toc’s 5th Birthday Celebrations We started just before the recession was announced and we have survived against the odds. Everything we learnt has shaped our company today and here we are today we stand proud and we have met some great people thought-out our journey. Tic Toc’s story I have often been asked the question, why did we start up Tic Toc Play? As it's our 5th birthday I thought l would briefly try to explain. It routes back to Linda’s childhood, camping in the New Forest. She felt a freedom to explore and learnt many skills without being told ‘you’re doing it wrong’. As the year’s went by, Linda started volunteering and worked in many childcare settings and stumbled into play work. It had taken some time but she had finally found the right play structure that she could connect every child to their own spirit to play. Back 5 years ago for whatever reason our whole family (all four of us, for those who have not met our son Stephen) had been made redundant and we all had amazing skills and experiences, we decided to work together and Tic Toc play was born. We wanted to help support parents with affordable childcare and offer the best play environment for the children to grow in. Although there is always room to improve we have achieved so much and more. We would like to take the time to say thank you to the following parents who have been with us from the very start; Heba Haywood (Daniel & Dylon) Nicola Leney (Sam Baker) Heidi Luck (Amelie & Ebony) Barbara Thurston (Paige & Lucas) Fiona Gent (Annabel & Alex) Sam Goode (Evie) Thank you, to all the children, Fiona Gent parents and guardians who value our great service.
