After a few hours at the beach there’s nothing better than a cool afternoon snack. This cold crab dip is best when made ahead of time so the flavors have a chance to join together. This dip is best served with wheat crackers or fresh veggies.
Cold Crab Dip ¾ c. mayonnaise ¼ c. chili sauce 1 T. lemon juice 1 t. horseradish ½ t. garlic powder ¼ t. pepper 12 oz. fresh crabmeat (patted dry) In a small bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients; fold in crab. Chill for at least 2 hours in refrigerator.

USSSA Fastpitch Softball World Series – Eastern Division Sixty teams competed in the USSSA Fastpitch Softball World Series with opening ceremonies on Tuesday July 24th and games beginning on Wednesday July 25th at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex. The USSSA Fast Pitch program used a 5-game guarantee format in its World Series Tournament. Teams were seeded into pools based on current USSSA ranking points and played a round robin. All teams were seeded into a double elimination championship bracket following pool play. There was a great turnout for this fastpitch softball World Series. It was awesome to see families from around the country coming together in our town to compete in this great sport. There were plenty of power hitters on hand, as well as high speed pitching and girls that were quick on the bases. The spectators relied upon shade and hydration in order to beat the heat of the Gulf Coast summer. The coaches were heated up themselves as they encouraged and guided their players to become the next champion of this World Series event. Courtesy of David Gilbert
