Are you looking for a special accompaniment for your seafood favorites? Not only is this slaw great when served ice cold as a side, but it also makes a nice relish on po-boys and sandwiches.
Spicy Pepper Slaw 3 c. shredded cabbage 2 celery ribs, chopped 1 medium green pepper, chopped 1 c. cut fresh green beans (blanched) 1 c. cut fresh asparagus (blanched) 1 bunch green onions, chopped 1 banana pepper seeded and chopped 2 jalapeno peppers seeded and chopped ½ c. cider vinegar 3 T. olive oil 1 T. lime juice 1 T. minced fresh cilantro 1 t. salt 1 t. pepper In a large bowl, combine the first 8 ingredients. In a small bowl combine the remaining ingredients, pour over salad and toss to coat. Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
