What is Key Club? Key club is the largest and oldest service club in the world! Although we may not make keys we definitely open doors, and based off experience Key Club has without a doubt provided me with multiple opportunities and valuable experiences. This club has not only provided me with a chance to serve my home, school and community, but has also given me the opportunity to grow as a servant leader and become a part of a family. Key Club Core Values: Caring, Inclusiveness, Character, and Servant Leadership Key Club Pledge: I pledge, on my honor, to uphold the objects of Key Club International; To build my home, school and community; To serve my nation and God; and to combat all forces which tend to undermine these institutions Motto: Caring– Our Way of Life
How does Key Club work? The International Board works very hard for all of us to solve problems, host webinars, and make sure all of us are on task. Key Club International has 33 districts. A district is normally defined by state or nation and tends to match a similar Kiwanis district. Each district is chaired by a governor, who is elected by delegates at the annual district convention. (All divisions in the state/ nation. With multiple divisions in one area, the region is covered by an advisor. Not by a student. Divisions are multiple clubs in a designated area covered by a Lieutenant Governor. For example: I am a Lieutenant Governor covering 16 schools those 16 schools are all in one division.
The club level is run by a club board! This is on the level at an actual high school not by an area. It is normally run by a club president, vice president, editor and secretary.
You! Each individual that pays their dues will become a Key Club member, your job is to be the best you can be and serve your community and try to get 50 hours in!
An upside down triangle is a great representation because International being at the top, is the largest and highest level covering all and helping all, then it continues to go down the pyramid!

THE ELIMINATE PROJECT With The Eliminate Project, Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. Neonatal tetanus kills one baby every nine minutes—nearly 60,000 newborn children every year. A significant number of women also die due to maternal tetanus. The effects of the disease are excruciating—tiny newborns suffer repeated, painful convulsions and extreme sensitivity to light and touch. To eliminate MNT from the Earth, 129 million mothers and their future babies must be immunized. This requires vaccines, syringes, safe storage, transportation, thousands of skilled staff and more. It will take $110 million—and the dedicated work of UNICEF and every member of the Kiwanis family. Kiwanis and UNICEF joined forces to tackle iodine deficiency disorders, achieving one of the most significant public health successes of the 20th century. Now, together, they are eliminating MNT from the face of the Earth. In doing so, the project will reach the poorest, most neglected mothers and babies with additional lifesaving health care. The end of this one disease means the beginning of better health for so many families. To stay up-to-date, sign up for The Eliminate Project's email newsletter and visit www.TheEliminateProject.org for more information.
