Governor About me: I’m a crazy, outgoing, bubble tea loving violinist that loves to take long walks outside, ESPECIALLY DURING THE COLD! I have an unhealthy obsession for The Strokes and like any other girl, shopping. I can not live in a world without cheesy pick up lines and puns. I’m super duper clumsy, but I mean after you get to know me you’ll be fallin too (; JK! I’m not afraid to dance to the beat of my own drum or sing loud even if it’s not perfect! MOST OF ALL, I will do “whatever it takes” for my WolfPack! Hey everyone! Make sure that you all are getting your reports and newsletters turned in on the 5th of each month! I know that I have been pushing a lot of you to turn in reports and turn in dues, but these things are vital for your club so please get them done! I also know that some of you have been struggling, so send your reports in 6 days early for me to check! My divisional event committee is working so hard for all of you! They are creating many fun filled events for the future so please check your emails from time to time. If any of you raised money for $250 for UNICEF, please click this link to turn in the money: http://sites.kiwanis.org/Kiwanis/en/ theELIMINATEproject/SLP/TrickortreatforUNICEF.aspx Aside from that, one of my goals for our division is to raise $3000 MINIMUM for the ELIMINATE project. This will not only be raised with the division, but we will also add in the total your club raises individually as well, so fundraise away! This is an amazing cause to fundraise for. Also congratulations to Sachse High School for winning the Divisional Chant Competition and Raquel Palma for getting an article accepted into the Tex-O-Key
Yours in Service, Tien Thi Huynh

Club Hill Carnival On October 24th, 2014, Garland High School volunteered at Club Hill Elementary for their annual Halloween Carnival! Hundreds of kids from the area came to trick or treat in a family safe environment and got the opportunity to play plenty of fun games with the Key clubbers and I! Jorel Decipulo, one of the key clubbers, was in charge of a game where kids would have to put their feet into a box of soft figurines and pick some out with their toes. I (Tien) worked a station where kids could make ghosts with a big bag of marshmallows. Steve Nguyen and Jessica Le worked the pumpkin race station. Overall, the cute trick or treaters had a blast and it definitely was thanks to the hard work of Garland High School Key Club! Keep up the good work!
Jump high, shout loud, we’ve been working hard and proud! On October 24th, 2014, North Garland High School Key Clubbers fieldtripped out of class to go to Bradfield elementary school’s annual field day! The kids were more than excited to have a day outside to spend time with Key Clubbers, play games and get candy! These wild kids had so much fun running around with over 15 games and 2 bounce houses. This event was truly a success, even though Enoch (the clown) made two kids cry! Great job NGHS!

For 3 weekends in Lewisville, the Suburban NW Kiwanians hosted a spooktacular Haunted Castle! With a smoke machine, hard work, scary costumes, and a fall festival surrounding this castle, the fundraiser was a big hit! Executive assistant Chris Do and I had such a fun time scaring everyone including Kiwanis Lieutenant Governor Shawn Wade. Even though some kids cried, (I’m talking about you Shawn Wade, just kidding) we definitely had a blast!

Wednesday, Nov 5 Connect the Ks—Key Club is the largest high school service organization in the world and is a member of the Kiwanis family. Celebrate the entire family of Kiwanis by getting the whole gang involved. Connect with local Kiwanis, Circle K International, Builders, Kiwanis Kids or Aktion clubs and team up for a joint service project.

My name is Colin Gonzalez, your 2014-2015 Texas Oklahoma District Treasurer, and I am ridiculously excited for this Key Club Year! To start, I want all of y’all to feel like I am accessible to you and I am willing to help y’all with anything you need at any time! I am currently a junior at Mansfield High School, Division 39S, Region 7. I have dedicated my time and effort to Key Club since my freshman year, although I initially joined to learn what Key Club was all about, help others, and hang out with my friends. So naturally when I started I had no idea that Key Club International was a thing, but all that changed after attending my first DCON. This sparked my interest in Key Club and I have only grown my love for this organization since. Outside of Key Club I am also involved with National Honor Society and Student Council where I hold the position of Student Body Representative. Despite this other activity involvement, Key Club will ALWAYS take priority over any other organization. Contact: Treasurer@tokeyclub.com
I’m Emily Zhao, the 2014-2015 T-O District Editor. I preserve a healthy obsession over the color purple, and I have a refined taste for tomatoes. In addition, I utterly love Key Club! During my term as District Editor, I aim to give feedback to each and every club newsletter. I also hope to further increase the Tex-O-Key audience so that all Key Clubbers across Texas-Oklahoma will utilize it as a helpful resource. In addition, I want to help club editors create beautiful masterpieces of newsletters. Feel free to invite me to any fundraisers, service projects, and meetings. I’ll try my best to attend these to see all of your magnificent faces! Please don’t hesitate to ask me any questions or request feedback on articles and newsletters. I’m always happy to give tips and suggestions to further enhance your publications. Contact: Editor@tokeyclub.com
Hello Texas-Oklahoma Key Clubbers, My name is Andrew Loh and I will be serving as your 2014-2015 Convention Liaison! I am currently a senior at Mansfield High School and I am so pumped to be working towards creating an unforgettable convention with the rest of the District Board. For DCON 2015 I have a couple of goals: to increase the hype and excitement about DCON, to pay special attention to the forums taught, to revamp aspects of convention from the Welcoming Activity, to General Sessions, and to downtime in general, to create more promotional items to get more information out, and most importantly, to commemorate 100 years of Kiwanis service worldwide. Don’t forget to keep on serving and I hope to see YOU at DCON 2015! CL@Tokeyclub.com
