Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.
The Oldest President-Elect in U.S. History Born Roman Catholic on the 20th of November 1942 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, he is the son of Joseph Robinette Biden Sr., a car salesman, and Catherine Eugenia Finnegan. He was first married to Neilia Hunter on August 27, 1966, who died on the 18th of December 1972, then currently to Jill Jacobs, since June 17, 1977. He had three children with Neilia—Naomi Christina, Robert Hunter, and Joseph Robinette "Beau" III—and one with Jill—Ashley. He is set to become the oldest (and the 46th) president of the United States of America, at age 78, in January 2021. He has also made history as the fifth youngest senator of the United States, at age 29, when he was elected in 1972. He also served as the 47th U.S. vice president under the Democratic presidential administration of Barack Obama.
Joe Biden
It is said that he has spent a lifetime in politics. He has already been in senate for 36 years and 8 years under Obama’s administration. In fact, in 1987, he ran for President and tried again in 2008 but then dropped out and became the running mate for Barack Obama.
He stuttered as a child—his classmates bullied him and called him ‘bye-bye’ whenever he attempted to say his last name—and played football in high school at Archmere Academy. He was the wide receiver and running back with an impressive 19 touchdown passes. Furthermore, he finished law school at Syracuse University then drafted for service in the Vietnam War but failed his medical due to asthma. He lost his wife and baby daughter in a car accident in 1972. On a blind date in 1975, he got introduced to Jill Tracy Jacobs, and he had to propose five times before he was able to remarry in 1977.

Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, names Kamala Harris as his running mate.
Days after the election on November 3, CNN projects Biden is elected the 46th president of the United States.
Biden becomes the first presidential candidate to win more than 80 million votes.
It was reported that on the 2nd Tuesday of August 2020, Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden picked Sen. Kamala D. Harris as his running mate on a major-party ticket. Kamala Harris is a politician with a charismatic and telegenic nature. And as a senator from the United States and a recent presidential nominee, Harris is also dealing with another major test of Biden.
Spending a year running for president, Harris is also familiar with the maelstrom of a presidential campaign. While she is bad at dealing with criticism from the media and critics, she knows the intensity and scope of it, which will help in escalating the fall race against Trump. Biden considered others but in the end it returned to Harris as the "do no harm" candidate or someone who is unlikely to infuriate many. Kamala may not also seem as the most comfortable fit as a partner, a quality Biden said he was seeking, but they think Harris is safest pick to win.
Joe Biden secured the bulk of the electoral votes and defeated Donald Trump. 1.) It is clear that while Biden won the popular vote by more than 4 million votes, but what counted most was his success in the states of Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, which voted for Trump back in 2016. 2.) High turnouts from urban areas and enormous gains in suburbs 3.) He also acquired votes in large metropolitan areas. Suburbs like Philadelphia and Detroit outweighed Trumps’s gains which help Biden flip Pennsylvania and Michigan
4.) Younger voters firmly swung to Biden: in 2020, young Americans, who usually don't vote, turned out for Biden in significant numbers. 5.) Biden won even though he made the same speeches, and practically telling the same stories because this time what he gave matched the moment. According to theatlantic.com “He won because he was a reaction to Trump, but also because he was a white guy who could connect with white guys even as his association with Barack Obama helped legitimize him with Black voters”. His brand also proved to better than Trump’s and to any other Democrats
