RESORT ACTIVITIES DAILY PAU HANA The lighting of the fire pit signifies the day is done at Timbers Kauai. Pau hana typically takes place from 4:00 PM 5:00 PM but will vary seasonally to highlight the sunset. Guests are encouraged to gather at the bar for a light snack and daily drink specials. Spontaneous special touches for parents and kids complete the experience. Owners are invited to enjoy these delights in the privacy of the Owners Club Room or in the bustling atmosphere of the bar.

OWNERS LOUNGE The Owners Lounge is the perfect gathering place when unwinding is on the agenda. Enjoy daily coffee service and afternoon snacks or meet with friends and talk story about the day’s adventures. This room is also available for parties and private events.

TIMBERS TYKES ROOM Outfitted with couches, beanbags, TV and games, the Timbers Tykes Room is a favorite of our littlest guests, providing a fun play space for children 8 and under. The chalkboard wall offers children a canvas to create their most imaginative masterpieces. The bookcases are filled with storybooks, coloring books, games and toys, and there is always something fun playing on the multi-media big screen.

TIMBERS MOVIE NIGHT Enjoy watching one of the many blockbuster films starring this beautiful island. Raiders of the Lost Ark, Avatar and Pirates of the Caribbean are just a few of the mega hits you’ll get to see. Popcorn and snacks will be provided.

TUESDAY NIGHT SUNSET SESSIONS A weekly pau hana to celebrate the end of the day. Enjoy live music, pupus and signature cocktails on the Hoku Deck. While watching the sun slip behind the Ha‘upu mountains, meet members of the local Kauai community and learn more about the benefits of sharing Kauai’s newest oceanfront residential offering with friends and family.

THURSDAY NIGHT OWNERS RECEPTION Join other Timbers Kauai Owners for a casual evening under the stars from the best vantage point on the resort. Swap tales of the day, share insider’s tips and make plans for your next adventure while enjoying signature cocktails and watching the shades of the evening slowly transition from glowing sunset to starry night.

RESORT ACTIVITIES HAWAIIAN SKY WATCH Come explore our galaxy and experience distant planets in close view! Kauai is renowned for an amazing and vibrant skyscape like few other places on Earth. Don’t miss this opportunity to share the night sky with an on-site astronomer.

SAIL TO KIPU’KAI FOR PRIVATE BEACH EXPERIENCE Join the Kauai Beach Boys and other Owners and guests for a private ocean cruise aboard a stunning 50-foot catamaran. Venture to secret beaches to enjoy snorkeling, a picnic lunch, adventure, or simply a relaxing day on a quiet hidden beach.

CRUISING THE TRAILS Kauai can be explored in many ways, but two-wheeling is one of our favorites. Explore the 17 miles of trails within Hokuala and if you like, we can accompany you to highlight the flora, fauna and the must-see endangered species. We can even prepare a picnic so you can make a day of it! Feeling adventurous? Outside of the resort, one of our favorite bike trips is Kauai’s Coconut Coast. You can take a leisurely ride along the ocean, or if you are up for more of a challenge, try mountain biking to reach more secluded vistas.

GUIDED NATURE HIKES When you dream of Kauai you might imagine days spent at the beach, sipping Mai-Tais, but you absolutely must look inland - at least for one day - to experience the waterfalls, wildlife, and wondrous tropical flowers hiding in the jungles. Because on this island, there are as many pearls beyond the trees as there are beneath the sea.

SHORELINE SNORKEL TOUR You won’t believe the color, activity, and energy underwater! On our snorkel tour, not only is a dip in the warm Pacific while viewing the countless species of underwater wildlife thrilling, it’s educational! At the very least you will be able to pronounce humuhumunukunukuapuaaʻa, Hawaii’s state fish, without missing a beat.

WATERFALL TOURS Touring Kauai’s numerous waterfalls are well-worth the trip. Join our adventure guides on a journey to Kanani Falls, a beautiful, private double waterfall nestled in the Hule’ia National Wildlife Refuge. Surrounded by bamboo forest and lush, tropical foliage, this excursion has become a true highlight of everyone’s visit!

OCEAN CLUB EXPERIENCE On Fridays we gather together at the Ocean Club at Kalapaki Beach where the Kauai Beach Boys await with a stand-up paddleboard with your name on it. Grab your snorkel gear and explore the underwater world. Maybe it’s time you learn to surf or how to lean over an outrigger canoe. Whatever your favorite activity, we’ll ensure you have everything you need for fun!

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES LEI MAKING AND ORIGINS The lei custom was introduced to the Hawaiian Islands by early Polynesian voyagers, who took an incredible journey from Tahiti, navigating by the stars in sailing canoes. With these early settlers, the lei tradition in Hawaii was born. Join native Aunties to learn how to make your own leis (both Haku and Lei Po‘o) and to discover the fascinating origins of different types of leis.

TALK STORY SERIES Join staff and local community members as they ‘talk story,’ the local way of sharing stories and fond memories of their time on-island. Discover insider tips while becoming immersed in the melodic Hawaiian-style way of creating pilina, a deep and meaningful relationship. Speakers range from employees who have been on the land for over quarter of a century, lifeguards, surfboard shapers, underwater photography experts, local farmers and more.

THE TRADITION OF HULA Hula is more than just a dance – it is an artistic representation of Hawaiian life and culture, where every movement, expression and gesture has meaning. Representing plants, animals and natural elements, the hula is a beautiful flowing narrative filled with deeply felt emotion.

UKULELE LESSONS The ukulele originated in the 19th century as a Hawaiian adaptation of the Portuguese machete, a small guitar-like instrument, which was introduced to Hawaii by Portuguese immigrants, mainly from Madeira and the Azores. Now Hawaii’s most iconic instrument, the Ukulele is synonymous with Hawaiian language and culture. Join our resident musician as he shares his favorite tricks in an light-hearted traditional Uke jam.
