DC Chamber Says Thank You in a BIG Way

Businesses around Douglasville and Douglas County received a “Big Thank You” from the Douglas County Chamber in August. Chamber Diplomats, Board Members, Young Professionals, and other volunteers went door-to-door visiting over 600 member businesses. This is a coordinated effort by the Chamber to demonstrate appreciation for its member businesses.

“While we have our annual Member Appreciation Luncheon in the fall each year, some of our members are busy growing their business they don’t have time to come to us, so we decided we should go to them,” commented Douglas County Chamber President & CEO, Kali Boatright. “Our mission is to support, promote and attract business for our community and we hope that in visiting members during The Big Thank You, we can see how we can better serve our members.” The Chamber Director of Membership and Events, Kimberly Weaver, commented further, “We want our members to know of ways to get engaged in the Chamber. We want to remind our members that their membership extends to each of their employees. The more engaged their staff is in our free training, seminars, events, and committees, the more opportunities they have to translate their membership into more business.” For more information on joining the Douglas County Chamber, contact the Chamber at 770.942.5022, visit the website, www.douglascountygeorgia.com, or stop by their office located in downtown Douglasville at 6658 Church Street.

They own their power company. If you receive a monthly service bill from GreyStone Power, you’re an owner, too. As a member of this electric cooperative, you elect the Board of Directors, voice your opinions and receive financial returns through Capital Credits.
