hen most people think of dry cleaners, they think of the hassle of hauling their garments to a store, and the uncertainty of whether or not the men’s collars will be scrubbed off or the stains removed. Jay Parmar, owner of Al’s Dry Cleaners, is on a mission to eliminate those concerns. Al’s Dry Cleaners is in its third generation of ownership and has kept up with modern

times. “People think I’m Al, but my name is Jay,” Parmar said. “When we bought the business in 2004, we never changed the name out of respect for the founder Al.” What makes Al’s Dry Cleaners different from other businesses is the mobile service. Parmar has recently started offering free home or office pick up, and he charges the same rate as if the customer were to bring the clothes into the cleaners. “We guarantee the lowest prices available. We want to come to the customer because we know their time is valuable. It’s one thing off their to-do list,” Parmar said. He pointed out that with the company’s state-of-the-art cleaning, most garments are wet cleaned and 100 percent chemical free. The company has also set up a text message reminder feature for its customers. Customers will receive a message the day before the scheduled pickup. Depending on whether the customer needs service or not, a simple ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ reply to the automated text can have Al’s Dry Cleaners bringing their service to the customer’s front door. “We are offering expanded pickup service to many subdivisions and communities around Newnan and Coweta County,” Parmar said. “Just respond yes and we will be there the next morning

to pick up. We guarantee our work and will make sure each and every customer is satisfied and we promise they will be more than happy.” Contact them at 404-939-6852 or visit their website at www.alsdrycleaners. com. Al’s Dry Cleaners is located at 302 Willowbend Road, Peachtree City, Georgia.

Successful Feed the Police Event

T

im Stout and Associates with Compass Real Estate had the great pleasure of hosting it’s 4th annual “Feed the Police” event alongside Matt’s Roofing on September 18th. Tim Stout and Associates and Matt’s roofing were able to feed over 125 members of the county’s police departments. The Mad Greek food truck was there to serve hot, delicious meals including Falafels, Gyros, and Baklava. Tim Stout and Associates doesn’t just say that they support this county’s off icers, they prove it. Giving back to these outstanding off icers is a main priority. These men and women constantly put their lives on the line for the citizens of this county and make this place we call “home” safer for us all. Giving back to them in anyway possible is important to Tim Stout and Associates. Tim Stout and Associates was able to chat with and and enjoy a meal together with members of the police department. Sheriff Lenn Wood and Chief Douglas ‘Buster’ Meadows were in attendance with the additional 125+ off icers and department employees. Tim Stout and Associates extends its thanks and gratitude to all of the off icers and employees of Coweta county’s police departments. Be on the lookout for future “Feed the Police” events by Tim Stout and Associates!

A

coming soon sign for an auto parts store was recently spotted on Millard Farmer Industrial Boulevard at the new commercial development, Farmer Commercial Park. General manager of the Newnan NAPA Auto Parts Jeannie Aument tells us, “NAPA Auto Parts started construction on a new retail building which will replace the current location on Jefferson Street. We will now be a corporate-owned store.” Construction plans indicate the new store will have more room for additional

merchandise. Aument adds, “We don't have the square footage yet, but hopefully it will be a little bigger than the Jefferson Street store since it is supposed to be multi-level.” She says she is personally thankful for the unique mix of rapid growth and the smalltown feel where “everyone knows everyone.” It is not yet determined when the current NAPA Auto Parts on Jefferson Street would close. Construction at the new location on Millard Farmer Industrial is in full swing.
